Wheel & Tire Selection

Looks like I have narrowed down my search to the Final Speed Gear-R (WP811) 16x7 +43mm offset wheels and as far as tires goes, suggestion is to go with 205/45 x 16 BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S .

Any comments or suggestions? Will this wheel size/tire combo cause rubbing
issues should I lower the car with Tanabe DF210 springs?

Will the bronze wheel go with SSM?

TIA guys for your comments & assistance.

I'm on DF and I had to cut a portion of the fender plastic and be sure to install camber bolts (front) to add some negative camber.

It really depends on the tires... (camber bolts are not installed on these pics)

I think bronze looks good on SSM. :3

Thanks for posting your pictures OEMfit. Any photos with the front camber bolts installed? BTW, where to get camber bolts fir GE8?

I was finally able to source the wheels with your help. Much obliged!

Has anyone fitted an Enkei RPF1 wheel (bright silver) on an GE8 yet?

The best way I measure mine is by index finger.
Front: one
Rear: two

I'll try to find a measuring tape...

Also make sure to take your measurement on even ground, there have been numerous times I thought my right side is higher than my left due to uneven ground. (specially my driveway)

I took that exact measurement and got the exact same thing. 13" front and back.

Although my wheel gap is about an inch less than yours. Not sure what could be wrong.

Although OEMfit looks like his tires have a bigger sidewall. What size are your tires OEMfit?

No unfortunately I don't have pics, but I'll try to snap some when I replace my camber bolts because I will be replacing my current camber bolts to Ingalls (two sets) for an even more aggressive negative camber.

I ordered mine directly from Ingalls due to warrantly purposes and they shipped it the next day!

I'm on Dunlop Direzza Z1 (205/50/16) and yup these tires have bigger sidewall than usual. Pretty meaty! :3

Those are amazing tires. Had them on my S2K. Although im not feeling the big meaty sidewall look. Makes the wheels look tiny.

Ya these rubber handles/grips amazing @ corners and its extremely stable. I LOL when I first did some test runs in the cayons, these tires are serious business!

I was going to get 225/45/16, but they don't have those size available here in the US, so I had to settle with this. :3

Ingalls Camber Bolts

OEMfit, you mentioned above that you ordered 2 sets (that makes 4 bolts). Are you doing both front & rear wheels?

What camber & toe-in settings are you shooting for? Certainly looking forward to your "after installation" photos.

Thank you for the link to Ingalls.

Ya I ordered 4 bolts all for the front, the rears are fine. Right now with only one camber bolt, my negative camber is about -1.75, but I want it to be around -2.75 to -3.00 *still undecided*. Toe is at stock settings. The camber bolts I'm using now is no good (OBX, never buy this) and I think one bolt is defective (right).

I'll be re-installing my new sets of Ingalls bolts and getting another alignment at the same time by next week or maybe even sooner. UPS should deliver it this week!

This really comes down to how you want it to look, not us. But here is what I can contribute.

I'm not sure about the 45 series. I'm about to run that right now on my 17's as that is close to OEM spec as it could possibly get. I may be wrong, but to me it just seems that since the Sport model comes with 16's anyways then you should run the same tire specs.

If you take the time to look around you will see many members lowered on DF's on the stock wheel/tire setup and it looks really clean, at least IMO. So if you are going with 16's again just with aftermarket, then I'd say go with 55 or 50 series. I believe AshPanda has the stock tires on his volks, and it is ridiculously sick.

As for the camber bolts you are looking for, you can buy the GD camber bolts as the bolt sizes are the same. I have only known the camber bolt to replace the top bolt of the strut assembly. You can find out more about how to install it at SPC performance site. There is a video there that actually shows someone installing and aligning a vehicle.

Your concern about the Enkei's can be found on the forum. I can't recal exactly his username but he is the CBP Fit who made a thread to show 3 different wheels. Its a newly made thread so just take your time to look for it.
