So I bought a few 12led panels from ijdmtoy and though, hey, what if I soldered them together?

This is the result:


4X12 LED panels = 48 Total LEDs.

Fit perfectly in the Fit Dome as it's 4 Rows by 12 Columns.
Fills out almost the entire width of the lens nicely.

 

was it worth the mod? how much?
how's the lighting? Is it bright but not stupid blinding?

 

I hope it will last.

 

whole thing cost around 40 bucks, not crazy bright but fills up the cabin and makes the lens look fuller as it should.

 

Why won't it? just SMD LEDs soldered in parallel.

 

There are generic ones of those boards being sold here and mine conked out after a while. Good idea though.
