Tekeda Cold Air Intake

Just came across this. The opening page has a vid of the GE8 making a dyno run and a claim of 4.38 hp and 5.29 tq
(TakedaUSA.com)

Figured I'd share, did a quick search and didn't come up with any hits, so enjoy

Here's the link to the Dyno sheet

Lets not go down this path again please.... I don't think that I saw anywhere in his post ... that put one intake against another...

Also lost 7 lbs of tq..
I'd rather gain a little hp and tq to gaining hp and lose tq.

Look a little closer.. the solid lines are the stock tq and pwr... the dashed ones are after the intake

daymn! Well i guess with a weaker motor, you have more ground to make up right? O yea, what kind of dyno was that again? Because the one Takeda (AFE Power) uses is MUSTANG DYNO.

If you're claiming 8hp with a dynojet... enough said.

It's nice that members post these dyno charts. It gives you a general idea of what to expect. Comparing these results is like comparing apples and oranges. NONE are corrected using SAE J1349 calculations. Unless someone does a comparison in a controlled environment with the same equipment and taking into account for test conditions, all these numbers being thrown around are biased.

dynos seem weird and unbeleiveable results....like really unbeleiveable. i wouldnt trust anything from this company if they falsify their results like this.

I like how this intake got a pretty good gain in torque. Which is what this car actually needs. You can have all the HP you want, but you really feel it when a car has some TQ in it

+5 TQ from an intake sounds great!

Good job Takeda!

I do like the fact that this intake uses the factory box's mounting point(s). I like the PRM as well but am a little to uneasy about the rubber coupler and clamp being the only thing that holds it on. I am being paranoid, I know, lol. What would have to change about this intake to make it capatable with an AT other than the fact that checking the AT fluid would be a pain in the arse.
