Is anyone having issues with...

Their nav system going into 'night' mode?

Mine is set on 'Auto' but has yet to ever go into 'night' mode at night.

Should I take it back to the dealership to see what's wrong? Is there a sensor, or is it just based on the clock?

It's probably working fine. Setting it on day leaves it on daytime mode, setting it on night leaves it in night mode, and if you put it in auto, it stays in day mode unless you turn the headlights on, then it switches to night mode. If it's not doing this, then you have your dash light brightness turned all the way up, which overrides the auto mode. Turn your dash brightness slightly down (until it beeps) and you'll be back in auto mode. There is no sensor that automatically puts it in night mode when it gets dark, and it's not based on the clock. It only relies on whether you turn on the headlights or not. It's all in the navi manual.

Was about to say, I don't have navi on my Fit, but on my Odyssey it's all related to headlights... I really don't like night mode, to tell the truth. I don't think the road detail stands out enough verses the TomTom I use in my Fit.

Ditto the brightness...

Turn the dash brightness down two clicks and it'll go into night mode.
