Anyone using a Tekeda intake?
Due to Weapon R taking a long time to get their Secret Weapon intake out, I went looking for alternatives. I found this ( http://nopi.com/dsp_large_pic.php?vpic=TA-1003P.jpg ) on Nopi's site. Just wondering if anyone has experience with Takeda....

This one should...

Also note I think this is only for the manual tranny. Not sure why it would work on auto?
I think they all should be close to the same sound/gains.
I looked at this intake but decided to wait and see what other short ram intake options come out. I am afraid of water ingestion with all the rain/flooding we get around here.
Injen has there CAI coming out sometime soon. (which converts to short ram) Release date was suppose to be May 29th but I haven't seen it out yet. I emaild Injen yesterday but yet to hear anything.
I installed a Takeda intake on our '09 this past weekend. Excellent fit and finish, and their packaging is awesome. Took about 20min to install, and added a deeper tone under acceleration and a nice kick in the midrange. Trying to get a dyno session with Takeda lined up in the next weeks, but the schedule is pretty tight right now.
Sigh, yes my link fails.
I was wondering about water ingestion as well, I had read that some people with low mounted CAI don't have an issue with it. It would seem to me that a bypass valve would be needed, but maybe since it isn't actually submerged in water, you don't need one. It is good to hear that the quality is good however, since I am very interested in this intake. All of the Short-ram intakes I have seen don't appear to take advantage of the cold air coming from the factory duct.
