Angry Did I get the wrong Fit Sport?!

So, last week I bought a Blackberry Pearl AT Fit Sport and fell in love with it. Got it tinted right away, got all-season mats, started planning on the fun plans with my brother to make it riced out and thought I was well on my way.

I was second-guessing my decision to go AT instead of MT, but deciding it wasn't that big of a deal. I live in Berkeley and am in and out of the city all the time, so I wussed out.
Then I realized that I saw some Fit Sports with the "Fit" emblem written more casually than "FIT" like on mine; they had fun blue dots on the i's. The biggest difference was the panel on the back with the rear wiper on my car was black, but the ones with the different emblem have panels that are the same color! I also peaked through the windows and saw bigger headrests, esp for the rear seats.

When I was at the Honda dealership, they told me I had 3 options for a Fit: Base, Sport and Sport with Navi. But now I'm seeing Fit Sports with better emblems and trunk doors that are all the same color (without the tacky black section). And I've seen these fits in blue, red, and even the purple like mine!

I'm really upset and I feel like I got the wrong Fit Sport all because of the black part of my trunk that sticks out like sore thumb. It's not a big deal at night because you can't tell. But when it's sunny and the beautiful blackberry paint sparkles, the black just stares me down. And I wonder if I got a MT, I would've gotten the right car.

I'm sorry if I'm ranting. I've spent hours looking around online without any luck. =(
I LOVE having a Fit, but I just want the one I want!

What you are seeing is the previous (1st) generation of the Fit. I'm thoroughly sad for you but happy inside that you think the first gens are so much cooler. Also, if this is really secretly a troll thread, good show!

I was waiting for someone to try that on a new Fit, myself. That piece can be removed and painted the color of your car at a shop. You can pay for online access to the service manual for a limited amount of time somewhere through Honda. Or just find a thread on FF that shows how to remove the trunk garnish. Take pictures and post them up! I don't know if anyone else has done this on FF, you could be the first (no promises).

All of that because of that one piece? Just paint it dude.

And you can buy the emblem with the "fun" blue dot and put it on yours.

I actually like the black section on the hatch. I liked it so much that it almost made me get a TW or a SSM instead of my CBP. I'm glad I went with the CBP, but every time I see a different color, I'm reminded of how much I like that part of the new design.

Don't feel bad, I bought the GE, not quite realizing that the car had changed that much until I saw it side by side with my friends GD.

I'll freely admit that I first thought the redesign looked "wierd" to my eye after seeing the first generation for two years before buying my GE. It has taken a long time for the GE's styling to grow on me, but it has to the point that I can say I like both styles for somewhat different reasons.

There are some really good upgrades on the 2009 Fits Sport but I agree the hatch on the 2009 is not as nice as the solid color pieces. I love my
GD3 and you can get a carbon fiber piece that goes over that from what
I have seen which might be an option. If it bothers you that much then I would definitely do something to change it up! Otherwise enjoy your Fit and post up pictures of your car.

The blue dot emblem is uber dorky. I took mine off one of the first things and now my GD3 doesn't feel *as much* like a toy. I can see how a lot of people would be into them, though, they're very "different".

lol ken i know you are biased! but hey you have both so if there is a 'right' answer, you'll still be ok.

i just love the 'flushness' of it. i the gd's would sit better with me if we had a bolt on trunk garnish that was readily availble that fit nicely.

Where can you buy the blue dot emblem online? I can really only find the red dot one and I'd rather buy from a web store rather than eBay.

It's plenty safe on ebay if you buy it from the right guys.

contact this guy and he should be able to get you it for a very reasonable price:
eBay My World - plijokkjiu46521kkjh

On another note, I don't like the Fit emblem at all....shaved all the way. I think it looks cleaner, and the mystery makes it all the better. If people are interested in knowing what the car is, they can talk to me!
