Picked up my 2009 Fit Sport today!! yay!

So I finally got to pick up my new Fit today. It was Cash for clunkers deal. Traded in a 1991 Caddy Coupe for a 2009 Fit in tidewater blue w/ nav, auto, armrest, body side moldings, floor mats and a moonroof. Here she is:

wow that moonroof looks nice. can you post pictures on where the button for the moonroof is? how much extra did the dealer charge you for it?

im throwing this out there...the USDM fits were not meant to have moonroofs...so if the dealer installs it outside...does that change the whole structure and safety structure of the car?

moonroof was an extra $1000 , took them 2 days turnaround time to install (the shop picking it up, installing, driving it back) so...my car had some extra miles on it total of 95 at delivery.

That moonroof looks nice. I didn't even know there were aftermarket moonroofs available. Where'd you get it?

Looks like I got into the Cash for clunkers program just in time! Just got my Black Fit Sport Auto last night in Ames, IA. Then went directly into moving out of my apartment. The little thing was incredible with how easy it was to fit a ton of stuff! Glad to trade in the almost broken 1998 Jeep. Any fit owners out there that have some good new-owner advice, let me know!

Congrats on the new car! Soon you'll become a Fit freak like the rest of us.

Looking at the moonroof it just makes me more mad that Honda didn't make that a standard feature on the sport model. It looks so perfect on your car, like it belongs there. However I'm too nervous to cut into the roof and alter the structural integrity of the car. Also I have to imagine such a thing would void the factory warranty?

TWB with moon roof looks freaking hot. Can you take more pics of the moon roof, inside and out. How clean was the install?

Well its on my buyer's order from the dealer. It also comes with its own warranty from the people that installed it. Looks fine. I'll post pics soon of the interior. I've had 2 other cars with dealer installed moonroofs that i had on a 96 Chrysler and 95 Cadillac and didn't have problems with either.

Quick question... since you have a moonroof now, does that mean that they took out the dome light in the middle of the car's ceiling?

myke

Here's a link to the "official" website CARS.gov - Car Allowance Rebate System - Home - Formerly Referred to as “Cash for Clunkers” Should tell you everything you want to know...

They just passed another 2 billion toward the program...
