Get a 3M ClearBra, I hear great things about those and they are not ugly like a traditional nose mask.

I had one on my previous car and don't plan on buying one for the Fit because after prolong use, dirt accumulated under the mask and made scratches. Also, since my car was red, the hood was a different shade because the rest of the car was fading. You might not have any problems of fading with a silver or white Fit.

Thanks all. I'll check out the clear option. The traditional ones are ugly, and like Neebs mentioned, I fear would accumulate grit underneath

The 3M clear bra is pretty expensive to install. Some people got quoted around $600-1200 for hood, bumper, lights, mirrors, and more.

Honda Fit Nose Mask?

Yup. I've had one on my '08 Fit since I bought it last summer. I think it looks great and sure saves the front end from stone chips and definitely the bugs.

I usually buy my clearbra from here:

Auto Paint Guard Home

Ryan runs the place and he's a good guy.

I wish they made a protective cover for whole damn hood. I do a lot of high way driving and so did the last guy. You can see all the white blemishes in the hood of my car from tiny rocks and bugs and stuff. I have NBP so you can imagine how much that sucks. If you do a lot of highway driving to and from work, I would put something on. Take it off during the weekends.

I was out at Lowes today and saw a BBP with a black leather bra.

Didn't like it at all.

When I can get the funds together, hopefully sooner rather than later, I'm going clearbra.

you can. I did 3/4 of my hood on my Fit and tsx. I bought my own bulk film and did it myself. Warning it does take some practice but I was lucky enough to be able to get it done right the first time. You can always have a professional install it for you for alot more money.

Here is where I buy my film from.
3M Bulk Paint Protection Film

by the way they give you instructions when they send you the film or you can get them on their website.

you can get it in 48" roll. That should cover your whole hood.

I think the leather bra is great for long road trips. Other than that go with the clear for every day.

Agreed. For the occasional long road trip the leather bra should be suitable. I doubt your hood is going to change color just for having the leather bra on for one week? For the people who have the leather bra, how hard is it to take it on/off? 5 mins or less?

the issue is it can cloud the paint if used in high humidty rain, and scuffs marks from the rain washing down grit into the bra.

ive seen some with mildew. ewwwww.
