Wheel Spacers
if you use the kics spacers you dont need to remove anything.
here's my 15mm on my G. this is the rear. as long as the
original studs do not hit the back side of your wheels (most
wheels will have openings there) you will be fine.

Any Pictures?
we actually put 20mm spacers on my friend's GTI MK5 last night. we had the H&R and they work like a charm. they bolt onto the hub and have a lip for the wheel to sit on. very limited rattle after 70mph and yes his car is 1in off the ground, slammed.
The shop I go to told me about the Ichiba spacers but recommended that I use adapters because they're comparatively cost-effective. I'm not sure if I missed anything in the above replies, but can someone speak on what adapters are and what the difference between those and spacers is?
spacers are safe. your just limited on how big you can go
before you have to change out your studs.
adapters are safe also and give you more to play with.
i guess all comes down to what size offset you want.
Here is a good link to anybody interested in this mod. I am probably going to do this after I purchase a rear sway bay first.
15MM Aluminum Bolt-On Wheel Spacers
Can anyone verify the stock Fit sport wheels have the gap so the stock studs have room to not hit the back of the rim? I am lazy and haven't taken my rim off to see for myself.

Looks great. stock suspension too? Got a link for the spacers? It'll be a while before I can afford new wheels, so I'm strongly considering spacers/adapters to get that proper offset in the meantime.
This is URL. I bought it for $84.99
fit 25mm wheel adapters, eBay Motors, Honda. Great deals on eBay!
In my humble opinion, 15mm front, 25mm rear wheel adapters are perfect for stock wheels and stock suspension.
Yes, stock wheels and suspension.

How would you describe the effect on the ride???
In my personal opinion, the drive quality is the same as stock except look that I like more than stock. The front wheel width increases only 30mm (2 x 15mm) and rear wheel width increases 50mm (2 x 25mm). I don't think it will make any different or a little bit since I don't drive my car hard.
I did the same 15mm frnt and 25mm rear and the off ramps are more fun, this is on a GD3 , 195/60/15 Good Year Eagle GT all season. And ya they scrub abit from bigger potholes. But they look mavolus....
Much quieter, and grip the road better than the stock rubber.
