I was passing by my local Honda dealer today and saw a couple of new Fits on the lot, so I swung by to have a closer look. In addition to a $160 price increase, I noticed something else different. My '09 (and all '09s AFAIK) has a sticker in the rear quarter window above the gas cap proclaiming the car to be a "ULEV" or "ultra low emission vehicle." This sticker is missing from the 2 '10 Fits I saw today.

Did the Fit lose its"'ULEV" classification? What's going on here?

At least now I know how to tell an '09 from a '10.

if thats the case, is it an advantage to the 09 owners to have ULEV or not?

Strange. Maybe they only no longer have the sticker.

 

Peeling off that sticker was my first mod.

I took all the others off, but not that one, for some reason.

I suspect the paperwork may be pending on the '10's and that's why they don't have it. You know how the government is.

are you sure the windows were tinted?

 

Besides the whole ULEV sticker, are there any differences between the 09 model?

My dealer tinted right over my stickers...

 

Is that what is in question?

Mine 09 has the sticker. I haven't peeled any of them off, come to think of it.

the reason vinn asks is because tinted windows = removal of ULEV sticker. unless your tinter is a noob.

 

i dont remember seeing that sticker on either of my 08 or 09....

aren't all new cars windows factory tinted? just for uv ray stuff?

 

i think aside from the big SUVs and what not, the "tinted" windows on sedans are just color glass that blocks UV rays. there isnt actual film on the glass.

 

Ah yes, I get it. Tinted windows come standard with 09 Sports. LOL! Mine has 'em! Course, I have to squint to see the tint!
