GE throttle body intake diameter size

Just a quick question. I need to buy a coupler to install my intake. What is the diameter size of the throttle body on the GE? I've heard its 2.5 inches, is that correct?

Not a clue. Although I am curious if you had the same idea to get a second airbox cover with the MAF tube then cut down the rest of the airbox except the tube with a dremel. Then couple that to the throttle body and couple a filter on the end. Then couple the vacuum line in and install the MAF in??? I haven't quite gotten around to trying it.

I would probably just take off the stock airbox and measure it though, calipers or just a ruler should be fine.

Great minds must think alike. I installed a K&N drop in filter the other day and was looking at the same option. I also didn't realize that the stock box had so many passages. I think there should be a decent gain from removing the extras regardless of craftsmanship.

i got ahold of a dremel and cut out the little ridge sticking up in the middle of the air box. it seemed to make my car louder but nothing performance wise. so i did the ricer thing and i wnet to home depot and bought the 3 in. flew tube and i cut a hole into my air box and ran the other end of the tube to my fog lights. but i was tired of that and with one broken light i made fiberglass panels that cover the spots then cut a hole into one and now i have a ram intake sort of deal ahahahah
