Blocking coolant hose to throttle body

Hello, I did a search and nothing came up. Has anybody tried blocking the coolant hose that goes to the throttle body?

Coolant running through the throttle body is there to keep the throttle body from icing up in very cold weather. If it doesn't get below freezing where you drive then it's pointless, as it just heats up the incoming air. Cooler air = denser air. More air in means more performance.
