New Frog Ridding its Black in the snow :)

I finally got my Crystal Black sport last week.

After final negociation and 2k discount, I got it for 19.18k with yokohama winter tires (good ones apparently), protection package and wheels nuts. (not including provincial and fed taxes).

I think a got a good price considering the shipping and preparation is include and I have all those goodies at roughly 500 below sticker price.

I love it so far. Appart from a old grocery cart called a swifth I had for one summer (I hated every bolts of this leamon), Its my first car.
Im a bit nervious parking it in front of my appartment with all this traffic going on. I live downtown. But getting used to it.

Car is not break-in yet, have only 370km on it. Funny thing i putted those 300km in a blizzard. Was bit nervous but in the end, I dont think the lack of 4by4 is making a lot of difference at highway speed (roughly 70km/h when slowed by blizzard (60m/h is 100km/h)). Town driving in snow though is pretty hazardous. Car is light so it skid easily on ice / snow. But everybody seemed to had problems. Except the SUVs. Ground clearance is also making me nervous but so far no problems.

But those blizzard are not that frequent. Most of the time when it happen, they close the inter-state south of the border but Canada`s roads are still running Thanks to all those poeple working clearing the snow with heavy trucks and mandatory winter tires.

Dealer said not to use cruise control too much but I use it on weekend to make around 500km roundtrip in another town to see friends and familly.

I am about to start the Santa Claus tourney aound the province to visit my relatives over the next week. Im expecting to put around 1k to 1.5k km on it.

I love the interior. Small car easy to park in town and have enough room to carry comfortably 3 drunked friends after Christmas party's One of em asked me if my seat where puke proof.

Ill let you know If my love story continue with her, my little Black (hey not my fault, a car have a female sex in french )

Maybe ill upload picture of her fighting with the Quebec road and winter

Enjoy your car! It is a blast to drive (even more so when the roads are clear and dry), and it's amazing what you can fit inside the car (I brought my 8' x-mas tree home inside the car).

I agree with you about it being a bit skittish on the snow / ice though. Although, coming from my previous car (Subaru) I kind of expected it. It does handle the snow better than my wife's '06 Civic.
