Front Seat Removal

I am planning to do more sound deadening on my Fit by doing the floor. Well, I need to remove my seats. I am not worried about the rear seat. For the front, I need to disconnect the wire connector under both seats. I did a search and someone's post suggest disconnect battery for 10 minutes before disconnecting the plugs. Just in case I trigger any warning light on the dash, would a OBDII scanner clear the code? Or I need to take it back to the dealer? Also is it difficult to get to the bolts for the front seats?

Hey Im over by Spokane, nice to see a local.. Im taking mine out too to add some extra back and up to the slides so I can get more leg room. I dont know the answer about unhooking the wiring, but Im planing on just rolling the seat over and around to ge the slides out. Id like to know too.

Just disconnect the battery before you do anything, and you'll be fine.

You shouldnt have any issues with airbag issues. In fact I forgot to replug the plugs in my drivers side seat when I reinstalled it and the only issue I had was that it triggered the airbag light on the dash. I plug it in and everything was fine and dandy. Still pretty risky on my part

As for removing the seats, its just 4 bolts and a few plugs.

Do the seats go out through the hatch? Or should I move them through the door? Also how heavy are they? Is it a one man job? If not, I need to get help before hand.
