New owner of a 09 Base .. <3 it

Hey All!!

Brand new owner of a used 09 base silver fit.

Absolutely love it.. I currently Own a honda s2000 and decided to garage her up for the winter. The Honda Fit is wonderful, but I do have the same gripes as a few other members here, but overall very satisfied of my new daily <3

The question that I have (that the GF really doesn't like the idea of)
Is to mod, or not to mod? that is the question...

LOL, to mod or not, where have I heard that before....ultimately up to you. For me, it's simple, well maybe not. I bought the car as basic, economical transportation as that is what I need. My passion, and where most of my spare change goes, is my motorcycle.

Having said that, I know I will spend some money fixing little deficiencies on the Fit and improving it's appearance here and there.

I'm kinda with Barb on this one. I have a Harley-Davidson that sucks up all my extra cash, so I'm sorta gonna drive this car.

I liked how my sport looks so I'm not doing any exterior mods, apart from my Japanese bumper sticker. I plan on getting a louder horn and maybe stickier tires, but nothing else apart from that.

I've been looking at Fits for a DD too. I just don't want to end up dumping $10,000 worth of mods into it because I know I would. Congrats on the car.

Louder horn. (Have).
Red rubber floor mats. (Have).
Keyless entry (the cheaper method...) (Have).
Some rear windows and upper windshield tinting. (Not yet).
A center arm rest with storage. (Which I got, and have since discovered I like the car better w/o it!)
Changed door locking option, so all doors automatically unlock when AT lever is placed in "P". (Done).

Also am going to create some large capacity CD MP3 libraries with my PC, in order to fully utilize the car's good CD player. (Not yet).

Thas it, don't think it needs much more, it's a fairly completely accessorized vehicle in stock form, IMO!

It needs a lip kit, at least Work wheels, a drop, and carbon fiber bling.

See, I'd turn a DD into something that really isn't a DD. I need to get an old beater that isn't mod worthy of anything.

lol same thing when i just got it and i still ended modifying it (even without the approval of doing so by the GF). i lowered it, got rims (but when back to stock), changed to a drop-in filter, changed to a monitor. i'm not really planning into modding it heavily since its also a DD. so, same thing i guess with you? just some necessities to make it look much better than stock.
