Custom Intake?

So i'm on a pretty tight budget, got spare parts lying around for a possible custom intake. Just thought i'd try for fun until i can afford a legit one. Problem is... i don't know how or where to find the pipe that would work with the MAF sensor... any solutions?

Drop the idea and just stick with the stock airbox. You're just wasting time, money and effort if you're expecting any increase in performance.

True story.

You might actually decrease both performance & MPG.

I was already to install a short ram cold air intake on my 2007 Honda Fit but after reading many threads about the pros and cons, I've decided to save my money for new rims and tires this spring. The only reason I was going to do it was that the judges seem to like it. I love the way my Fit performs and have no problems with the engine and definitely do not want to alter my mpg. This is my last year to show it and why mess with something that already does what it is suppose to do.

I have the PRM intake, and an HKS exhaust. MPG has stayed constant. Not drop in MPG, and the car drives smoother while cruising.

Buy a second air box cover from bernardi parts and dremel the MAF tube out of the cover. Then proceed as usual.

yeah i was a little worried about the decrease in performance. just wanted a little better sound, but eh. probably not worth it like many of the people say. probably gonna save for more cosmeticcs until a turbo or something is out.
