What fit in my FIT?

A friend of mine was moving from his current house to one two house down. We thought it would be easier and faster to just carry the stuff than to rent a truck load and unload it.

Then we thought about using another friend's pallet jack to make it easier still. The only problem is how to get it to his house from the ware house since NONE of us have Pickup Truck.

No worry, the smallest car in the group took care of it with ease.

I don't know if the photos do it justice but this pallet jack is huge (almost 60 inces long and 250 pounds.

In all, we carried:
-Pallet jack
-Two pallets
-modified furniture dolly

and had a lot of room to spare.

Note: The boxes you see in the pics were used to protect the floor, seats, and panels from the pallet jack and pallets and to make sure they don't roll around. I didn't take any chances.

I am still amazed to see how much this car can haul... I had to return a 42" tv in the box to the UPS store. Fit with ease with the seats folded down.

Damn. A pallet jack... Awesome. Honda has created an amazing product, it does so many things just right. I will have one in the future.

We put a boxed 46" Samsung LCD in the back of my wife's first gen, and I think it has slightly less volume than the 2nd gen. The Best Buy guy had the funniest look on his face. He said we'd need a truck. Ha!
