The max pressure on a tire goes together with max load, when you load a car with something, the tires will flatten down, so you have to inflate them more to be able to carry the extra load safely, that doesn't mean that you can inflate an unloaded tire to 45 Lbs. I tried this and was not happy with several things as I explained at the beginning of this thread. My Fit just called for its first maintenance at 10,100 miles and I rotated the tires, I was able to inspect them very closely while I had them out and they are wearing very evenly with the pressures that I have been using ( 35 F. 30 R. ).
