Questions on Mugen

So, if all goes well I will be picking up my 2010 MT sport next week, and I was thinking of adding some of the Mugen pieces. I really like the grill and lip/front underspoiler, but the sideskirts look almost the same as the sports, and the rear underspoiler looks to euro tuner for my tastes. The question is, do you think the front underspoiler alone would look good? I know its all up to my own tastes and all that, but I just want to know if the front end would look lower than the rest of the body, which would look lame. has anybody seen an 09 or 2010 fit with just that front lip?

p.s. should i get that gas mileage computer update when i pick it up, or should it already be done on a brand new fit?

if thats what you like then do it.

your MPG computer should be done already from factory.

I do like the front alone, but i just wanted to know if it is going to hang lower than the factory sport side skirts. do you know what i mean? I like when everything is pretty well lined up. So I guess the real question is, do the stock sport sides match up evenly with the Mugen front underspoiler?

no they do not exactly and on one side it has no match up at all.
there is pics of this around. just do a search or look on the net.
look for mugen pics and see the differences.

Thanks for the responses. I found a couple pictures, and it looks pretty good with the stock sideskirts, so now im just waiting on an email from the dealer to see what the cost will be. The plan is the '10 BBP MT sport with the mugen lip, mugen floor mats, mugen grill, and sport pedals. Im also trying to find those RS-R springs, but im not having any luck.

I have basically all the Mugen parts (dealer installed) short of the god-awful wheels, and to be honest I could live without the rear bumper, but the side skirts are worth it. I'd also save your money and skip on the mats, and buy the short-shifter kit/knob/boot. Shifter quality is top notch with the Mugen kit, and the weighted shift knob makes it even more notchy.

well, for the short shifter im going to go with h-fit short shift adapter. its only 70 bucks and honda tuning magazine used it for their 2009 Fit sport and said it works pefect when coupled with a weighted knob. With the blox knob im getting paired with the adapter, it will probably cost about the same as just the mugen shift knob.

I also just talked with the dealer, If i can keep the price close what they quoted, then im going to get the mats, lip, and grill and install it myself.

Is you Fit dropped FITproject?

Not yet, as its still winter here and I'm NOT rolling a lowered Fit in the NE winter. I'm probably going with Progress Sports, but I may end up with Eibachs.

thats why I love san diego. even in the winter all you need to worry about is maybe a few days of rain. I was actually looking at eibach springs, but i think im going to try to hold out for the rs-r.
