tein coilovers

hey guys, ive been following e veryhting on this forum for a while and i was seriously thinking about getting hte d2 coilovers but i believe tonight my order for the tein basics will be processed, they are about the same price really and i hate how they dont go low enough but atelast they will ride really nice, i was wondering if anyone knew if they were modable to go a little lower? i know its a twintube design so usually they are, thank you

hmm...don't know about moddable. But interested to see pics when you install them. Pricing is great and ride is always good from the past Tein basics I rode before. Only gripe is you lose shock travel as you get lower...for the front anyways. Do you plan on cranking it all the way down when u get it?

I know some people have ran just the spring in the rear without the collar to go lower, but I don't recommend it.

Whatever you do don't by D2 or any other Taiwanese coil-over. They are garbage and the dampers and spring rates don't work well together

Run the Teins at the recommended height settings maybe a touch lower and you will be very happy. Just get some meaty tires to fill in the gap

nilly, is the red base sport at the lowest setting, because according to tein specs, it should go 2.3 inches lower in front and 2.6 inches lower in the rear, or does anyone have pics of a ge on teins?

cheapest i found them was from logic motorsports from honda-tech.com
1180 shipped for ss, and 980 shipped for basics...

I deal with a few wholesalers and their price was the same with my discount....

The red base GE on steelies is as low as it will go, I'm pretty sure he stated that in a thread somewhere on here.

2.3 and 2.6 is plenty low, you'll be rubbing like hell anyways. I have worn my front fender liners out on just Eibach Sportlines.

why do you people want to go that low?

1.5'' drop should be plenty, let alone 2''

+1

This is my rolling video of my lexus...had bags on it...just took them off, and put coilovers, to stay at this ride height....+ it gave the car a more sporty ride..

was into lowered trucks since i was 15, my 1st lowered truck, would not fit over a cigarette pack....then my 1st civic had cut neuspeed race springs (about 3 inch drop)....i would sacrifice ride quality for looks when i was younger...then as i grew up....i started adding in some comfort while trying to ride as low as practical.

D2 are dope (at least mine are) I have em' set up really nice after adjusting them for awhile. I'm tucking wheel and the ride is fine.
