Do you mean "top tier"? They have a website. What's weird is the domain name is registered to a company at the same address as one of the "top tier" gasoline marketers, quick trip.
It smacks of bias and marketing. The top tier website is not transparent; that is they make no mention of who they are. Quick trip, Shell, and Chevron make strange bedfellows.
The only radio ads for "top tier" I can recall were for Quick Trip (a privately held company).
My BS meter is quivering. Being privately held, their books aren't open to scrutiny and their relationships are tightly held.
That said I buy gas at Shell. I like their nice clean shiny stations (at least around here) and have visions of wholesome scrubbed Dutch girls every time I go to one of their retail outlets.

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline is the premier standard for gasoline performance. Six of the world's top automakers, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Audi recognize that the current EPA minimum detergent requirements do not go far enough to ensure optimal engine performance.
Since the minimum additive performance standards were first established by EPA in 1995, most gasoline marketers have actually reduced the concentration level of detergent additive in their gasoline by up to 50%. As a result, the ability of a vehicle to maintain stringent Tier 2 emission standards have been hampered, leading to engine deposits which can have a big impact on in-use emissions and driver satisfaction.
These automakers have raised the bar. TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline help drivers avoid lower quality gasoline which can leave deposits on critical engine parts, which reduces engine performance. That's something both drivers and automakers want to avoid.

It's very troubling. With something like this you want independent labs and verifiable results backing them up. I smell a marketing scam.

I put in premium but only because it's an extra 2 dollars a fill up. There have been rumors that people with scan gauages have noticed a change in the engine timing when using premium fuel. I cannot verify if this is true.

QuickTrip is the only gasoline retailer that I can recall who says, if your car doesn't need premium, don't buy it. That said, I would take with a grain of salt the implication that BP and Exxon/Mobil aren't top tier gasolines because they aren't part of the club.
