Seat Brackets for Recaro's

Wondering who has aftermarket seats mounted in their GE? Are there brackets available for us yet? I have a Recaro sitting around and I was going to throw it in but was having trouble finding brackets (I have a slider on the seat already).

Anyones experiences or info would be awesome!

Have you tried contacting Tees USA? BRIDE seat rails will work fine with Recaro seats...I have them on my car. BRIDE RO-type rails will mate with any Recaro SR-series or L-series seat, just add 6 bolts per seat.

What model of Recaro seat do you have lying around?

If you can't find them. I know Wedge Engineering can make the brackets.

Bride has a full line of brackets already available for the GE, myself I am using the FX line as these are the only FIA certified rails they offer, I lose the ability to slide back and forth, but I like that feature as the seat is actually more as one with the vehicle. And they are slightly lighter than the other rails they offer and on top of all that, if you are not my size you are not driving my car.

The short answer is YES.

The long answer:
Certain Sparco seats will mate with BRIDE rails. You'll need four bolts to mate seat with rail.
http://bride-jp.com/products_tekigou.html

Use with BRIDE RO/RB/RK-type rails:
Sparco Corsa, Rev 2, Pro 2000, Evo

Use with BRIDE MO/MB/MK-type rails:
Sparco Torino (Star 2), Milano (Sportivo), Speed, Sprint

For our Fits, all you need are the RO-type and MO-type rails - choose according to the Sparco seat you have. If you're ordering them from an importer, specify what car they'll be installed in. The "feet" of the rails may differ depending on your car.

HTHs

Thanks a lot!

PS: Forgot to add, I have a Torino 2. I assume it has the same hole position as Torino 1(?).

Thanks for all the info guys, I guess I'll get the seat in after all. I have a Recaro SRD that's been sitting around for about 5yrs so it'll be good 2 finally put it 2 some use.

Wow! Post photos after the install. The SRD's a great seat to spend driving time in.

I dunno if this is useful info, but on my GD the SRD was lower than the stock seat by about an inch. If you're going to use BRIDE rails for your GE, you should probably expect the same drop in the H-point.

Not much drop at all with the Fit when changing seats because of the chassis configuration. I am not sure how much lower my seating position is, but it is nowhere as low as when I swapped the seats in my old 5R Teggy and the Snisen. There is already plenty of headroom in the Fit to begin with, I think it may have dropped about 15mm and that is at the lowest position on the seat rail.

Anyone know what brackets will work with Silk Seats? They're the cheapest I can find and I'm on a budget, I know they aren't the best hahahaha

i just ordered some bride MO rails,
They should work with most aftermarket ones because of the way they are laid out.
They are Recaro compatible.
But im not sure how much is compatible.

I just picked up some Sparco Sprint-Juniors yesterday so I can just order some Bride brackets as listed above, then plug-n-play?

it really depends on if the seats are mounted on the side or from the bottom. wedge can make ones that are made from the bottom, for sure, utilizing recaro sliders.

I have been thinking about going after market seats in my GE. Is there any work need to be done for electrical connections? Like airbags, warning lites etc?
