Pesky little Fit!

I was on my way home and merging onto the highway in my Ford E-250 (V-8) work van when I just happened to get behind a Fit. I wanted to scope it out and to see her characteristics as she's going down the highway as opposed to checking one out at a stop light in town. Just wanted to see the suspension work or if the body rolled or whatever.

But I couldn't catch it! It was as if the driver was saying "take a picture - it lasts longer" and just took off! I could have caught it but didn't want to get nabbed for speeding in a company vehicle but hell, I was already doing 75 mph and the Fit left me in the dust as if I were standing still..

Like I've always said, the Fit doesn't necessarily shine in the 0-60 but they sure do from 50-100!

The VTEC - kicked in! I know it is funny to pass others like they are standing still but you are still going the speed limit.

I just got my 2010 Fit Sport w/navi. I'm finding it difficult to keep below the speed limit on the highway. Seriously... I look down on the interstate and I'm doing 75-80+ and don't even realize it.

I will not get rid of my SUV... it's just way too comfortable, way too feature-packed, way too utilitarian and well, I just love it. But now I can say the same about lovin' my GE8. It doesn't hold a candle to my SUV in every category I can think of, except handling and fuel consumption. Yet, man, this little car has to be the most pleasurable inexpensive, "econo-car" experience I've ever had. I have to restrain myself because I want to drive it all of the time. I'll have extreme miles on this thing in no time if I don't restrain myself.

I will post pics and write a personal review of sorts when it looks like it may stop raining for at least 2 days in a row. It's rained on and off since I brought her home... and now she's already dirty! I don't have a problem with rain. But I do when it's either snowed or rained three times more than it's been sunny and clear in the last 3-4 months! Enough already!!!

Anyway, yes... this little $h!t seriously has enough power for me. If it had more I could see me losing my license for speeding all of the time. Like I said, I have to watch it as it is.

Hey, where were you? Maybe that was me you couldn't keep up with!

VERY HAPPY with my purchase... ECSTATIC even!
