Hatch Trade

Any base orange ORM fit drivers want to trade hatches for a sport hatch? I want to go spoilerless and you would be able to have my hatch which has the mounts for a spoiler. I can even throw in the stock spoiler but I have to warn you it has some scuff marks (unlike the door itself which is in great condition). I'll post up some pics if anyone is interested. I soundproofed my hatch so you get that too.

I don't have a hatch to trade, but I'll give you a bump and tell everyone I've done the hatch swap for this exact reason and it was very easy!

I'm looking at a '09 Honda Fit brochure and I don't think that a ORM Base exist. According to this, ORM is a Sport only color. Never the less, good luck finding a hatch.

The story goes... I was removing the spoiler to see if there was a way to add some shims to the mounts to improve the look of the spoiler. Well, I had just waxed the car the same day and when I pulled the spoiler up to pop it out of the clips I wasn't able to keep my grip on it and it slid out of my hands and hit the driveway. Now it's got a few scuff markets (some of which will come out with some rubbing compound). Anyway, I'm now committed to ditching the spoiler. It looks good at most angles except the most important one, at a right angle from the rear, in otherwords the view most people have of it while behind me on the road. The mugen spoiler looks alright and so does no spoiler. What to do...

Just a thought: If you are a fan of carbon fiber items what you could do is cover the spoiler with a drawer liner* and spray paint it black (or another color); the end result should be a ORM carbon like finish that covers scuffs or reduces the scuffs visibility.

*Drawer liner is a rubbery like material often used in the kitchen that has a checker board like appearance due to having holes in it.

Here is where I seen this done: Powerblock TV: Muscle Car
