If I had to do it over…

- I'd get silver instead of white because white shows dirt and paint chips like CRAZY and I hate washing and touching up my car. But damn! The white looks so sharp when it's clean and I already have a silver car. This is like when you pick the wrong girlfriend because your decision is made 100% on looks and she turns out to be high maintenance…and then her looks fade. Sorry ladies, I don't mean to come off a chauvinist.

- I'd get an '09 (MT with Navi) instead of a '10. Yeah, I know that package is a bit of a ripoff but I like the in-dash mount and since stability control comes with it, I'd at least look into finding one if the price was right. I suppose an aftermarket in-dash Navi is OK but no stability control so it's not the same. And there is something about getting factory stuff. Maybe it's psychological. We only perceive value when we are overcharged.

Still, I am very happy with my Fit. I just feel in a complaining mood today.

Stability control is overrated

Btw you're the first person I've ever heard say that white was tough to keep clean

I might agree with you about the stability control. As for keeping the white clean, every little thing shows on it. It's great after you wash it but I don't like washing my car all that often. I think silver hides dirt the best.

Silver doesn't look dirty unless it is driven in the rain and there is a few places like right behind the back doors that catches black road residue and looks really bad.... Otherwise the color changes to a battleship gray in appearance.... I gave mine its annual wash job days ago and parked it in the barn because of the threat of rain.... I go out and look at it a few times a day since it looks so damned good and won't after I drive it the 4/10 of a mile across sugar sand and red dirt you can pick up with a magnet before I am on pavement.... A dirty car is a dirty car regardless of the color and like the fading beauty of an aging woman that offers little else to be appreciated you don't even notice once you are inside it and moving.

Dam i guess ur not a wash freak like me i try to detail my car every week. I love white cars with a mix of black added for the panda look. And i think the dash GPS is overrated. It does look nice but the price is not worth it in my book. Why not trade in the car for one if u really want it

Yea black is beautiful, but it gets so dirty, and needs to get waxed ALLL the time.

And Cody, he's right about white. It does get dirty, and rock chips stand out like a mofo

No, I hate washing my car. I just like to drive it and that's it. All the maintenance is just something that has to be done, so I do it.

Well, I'm glad somebody backed me up here. My silver/gray Accord has massive rock chips and you'd never even know it. But the 2 teeny tiny ones on the Fit showed right up and I had to get the touch up paint out.

Here on the eastcoast it's pollen time, everything this week is yellow. It fills in the chips

It's not as bad as all that. Just feeling cranky today. I went to car wash and by the time I ran some chores and got back home, I noticed black specs of dirt and bugs on mirrors and front bumper. Those just would not show on a silver or dark color. It's just something I have to get used to.

As for the Navi, I can live with a cheap Garmin I just picked up for $125, so that is not a big deal. Sometimes, add on stuff bothers me. If you attach enough things to your car it starts looking like crap, IMO. So a GPS built into the dash is nice but I am not handy enough to try that install myself.

As for the paint chips, I am still thinking about a deflector or clear bra. I'd much prefer the clear bra but money is tight right now.

The important thing is that I am very happy with my Fit and the brand/model…that I'd do all over again in a heartbeat.

I had second thoughts about getting a silver car being that silver cars of any make are as common as belly buttons these days and I wanted a black one to begin with and a base model at that... With all of the after market stuff being made for your car you will in time be able to personalize it and grow to like it more and every thing goes with black or white.... There are more people wanting the TW Sport than any other color and model and even more with manual 5 speed..... It is my favorite color for the GEs.
