window visors
If all else fails for some here, I'm going to do an extensive DIY for the forum when I get time to install them... which will probably be within the next 2 weeks. Work has me completely swamped. It's difficult too... I've had these visors for over a month now. I'm going nuts wanting to get them installed.

I will post the DIY when it's completed. VERY SOON, I hope.
Somebody please post diy pics or even better some vids! Need to know how easy (or hard) it is to take rubber window sealing out of place without tearing. The parts are just waiting to be put on, but I'm a bit reluctant to F*&K it up.

instructions can be downloaded here: the 2009 and 2010 links
I've installed these on my fit, it wasn't too difficult...the clips seem to be more for keeping things lined up because the visors are basically attached by the tape anyways.

I'm also thinking of not putting the rears on. With the back half tinted it sort of looks sharp with just the fronts.

so i just finished installing them.
using the PDF from the link on page 1, it was really easy, and took 40 minutes max. i didnt take pictures, because a DIY is REALLY unnecessary if you can follow directions.
things to note:
1. ignore the cross section-like pictures they include...all they will do is confuse you.
2. you dont need to use tape to hold back the 3M backing...just bend it over to the outside of the visor
3. the 'C' clips are what help you make sure everything is totally square before you pull the sticky. these can be tricky to stick into the door sill at first, so its best to open the door and work from the inside, peeling back the weather stripping with your fingers
4.Re: the rear window inserts: these are not necessary. they are included to help the 'D' and 'E' clips fit snugly between the door frame and the weather stripping. i put 1 in (front of the rear left door) and realized it wasnt really doing much. remember, the tabs/clips are really just to help line up everything, not really to secure anything...at all...so if you dont want to deal with it (its really not that hard either way) you dont have to
good luck!

Many thanks teamcaptainjohn. + rep to you
I've been wondering about those rear inserts and couldn't see a purpose - looks like they would interfere with the window somehow. Anyway thanks for the write-up.

they dont interfere with the window if you install them correctly, deep enough into the channel..hahahaha.... what they do do is increase pressure that the rubber can place on the clip, holding it in. it makes a big difference to squeeze the rubber stripping where the where i put the plug in vs. where i did not, but again, i dont think it makes a bit of difference in actually holding the visor up
thanks for your help with this everyone who posted earlier.....i just purchased my Fit on March 31st after driving a 94 accord for 7 years that i had done some decent modification to...and to be honest i grew realllly weary of Honda-Tech.com over the least few years, so its good to find a decent forum for Fits

For anybody interested here is a picture of just the front window visor added. Doesn't look too stupid. Going to wait a while before putting back visors on.

I will also try and take some photos at a better angle soon.
