My advice:

My advice would be to skip the abrasive pad step #4 if you ever want the option of undoing this mod. Most primers/paint will stick just fine to a clean/de-waxed surface, so all you really need to do is wipe it with acetone. I would only bother with proper preparation if you are actually using "real" automotive paint (not rattle can).

Then if hours/days/months down the road you have remorse for this ricer mod (hahaha joking!), you can simply use a rag soaked with acetone to wipe off the rattle can paint, revealing the pristine factory finish. This is also a tip for you vandal victims!

I would also not use white primer because of how normally occurring chips will look.

Good advice here. Never had an issue with the white primer with rock chips however.

I like It.. You did a very nice job, subtle but effective change that works to balance out the other black pieces and window tint.

TC were you talking with a freak who sprayed his fog light housings with an undercoating material??? I'm wondering if that would be a good product to do something like this with.

I can't recall the name of the guy that did his with rubberized undercoat but I recently had the front bumper off of my car and used Permatex rubberized undercoating on mine... It seemed like it was never going to completely dry but it is ok now and has a nice uniformed textured look... I had some paint chipping away between the lip and grill opening, so I removed the lip and fog lights from the bumper, masked down past the chipping paint and maintained the same distance completely around the grille opening, got after it with the spray can on all that wasn't masked and the fog light housings..... I prepped it all with a Scotch Brite pad and water followed by thinner and a cloth before I sprayed and it looks pretty good.... Some people that had never seen a Fit were asking about it and one of them said that she liked the way the lower grill was blackened in and thought it came that way..... They weren't particularly classy folks or I would have taken it as a complement.

I am sure it would look great on a blue car. I think the best it would look with would be white. I wanted a white fit, but when I bought mine they were impossible to find.

Super clean bro. Mad props. I'm thinking of doing this too but I'm a little scared of messing it up

Looks good but I would have opted for vinyl instead as it would not be as difficult to undo.

I was thinking of doing the same, but I will use a matte black vinyl not paint, at least it is reversible and probably cheaper too. I saw one in this forum who did the same but he use a carbon fiber wrap.

Base on my little research, that material is the same as the 3m vinyl 180 series use to make art signs. If you check the prices, you can get a 15" x 10 yards for around $50-60 shipped in some art sign online store versus stcker city's 12"x 59" where they will charge you almost $14 shipping.
Just not 100% sure that's why I couldn't pull the plug on this one.

I am thinking of doing this but instead following the lines of the front bumper to come in looking like a V - instead of going out. The lines flow better because the way it sits now to me looks like there is a disruption of the lines.
