would you trade your Fit/Jazz in for a CR-Z?
Not likely... I need a back seat for weekends and such when I have my kids.
But, for the Fiesta, or a Clubman? Yeah, I could be tempted... But I would much rather just pay this thing off, have it as my grocery-getter / daily-driver, and spend the money on something two wheeled instead. The Fit is more than enough fun to keep me entertained when I'm stuck in a cage, but should be dependable and economical for at least the next 10 years or so.

My sentiments exactly - I'm no lover of crotch rockets though.
Not a chance. Honda seems to be loosing its way. They kill the S2000, and bring out a great looking CR-Z, that has the heart of a marshmallow. Nothing in the line-up is inspiring. Dull and boring, sorta of like the old Chevy Biscayne. The Fit is the only one I like now.
No reason to...the Fit is just as sporty as the CR-Z. Don't believe me....check the figures. More money for almost same performance and lack of rear seat and cargo... no thanks.

To add salt to the wound, when reviews read like this...
"Ignore the hybrid system's configuration buttons (Eco, Normal, Sport; they alter throttle response and the electric motor's assist level) on the dash, and the car reminds you of a sleepy, sedated Fit."

Given turbocharging's resurgence among carmakers as a way of extracting max output from small engines surely it would make sense? I mean, VW is already punching out 170++ HP from its twin-charged 1.4.
Nope,no CR-Z for me. Why? same gas milage,no major HP increase,no cargo space, just doesn't fit what I need in a car.
Read an articule that says Honda is going strictly green in 3-5 years. Dropping SUVs,sportier versions, and concentrating on small fuel effectient hybrid & electric cars. Looks like they are starting that program with newer hybrid models of late.

It depends how much I would financially lose if I sell my fit but I would definitely do it.
I love the 6speed MT and the more upscale looks of the crz compared to the jazz. I also love that its a hybrid. That opens door for more fuel efficient driving. Slightly disappointed in the performance though. I couldn't care any more for the cargo space. I never use more than 10% of it anyway.

Good golly. CRZ has a Fit engine (also shared with the Insight), Fit suspension (also shared with the Insight), weighs more than a Fit (!!!!), costs more too.
I wish I could like it, but I can't. Hybridization and shrinkage of the Fit could have combined to make a really sporty little hot rod, but it didn't.
I suspect they'll sell like hotcakes though.

The CRZ is the upscale, coupe version of the fit that I always wanted and that I always complained about when I drive my fit. This is a hot hatch that you would really enjoy driving in the mountains or just cruising around.
It is really too bad about the performance though.

+1
Plus why would I pay more for a very poor CR-X (god I loved that car!) wannabe with less room and performance that the Fit. I mean the Fit can be forgiven for having a rear torsion beam based on it's class, but the CR-Z?
What the hell is wrong with Honda? I think this will be a serious mis-step for their performance image.
