Pissing match over?

Anyhow I had a new one happen to me a couple days ago.

I am pedaling my butt off to get up to merge speed on a ramp. As I get up to the two lanes of hwy to my left there are two cars side by side. I will pull in behind them once they pass . Well shit there was a Mustang behind the right hand car. The silly ass pulls over on to the ramp in front of me and passes the two cars on the right then pull in front of the car in right lane. I said "whoa there what the eff was that move?"

Somebody should take his Xbox away.

Day before about a half block ahead of me an Audi approaches red light at intersection. We can turn right here on a red after stopping. Well hell he just slowed enough to make the turn. I caught up with him at next light. A rather large mean looking dude from Illinois. I said "old man just ignore him as he just may be carrying." Don't need any holes in the Fit.

That's when you put on your emergency lights and act as though you are towing them and people will wonder how the hell that little car is hauling a Yukon.
+ rep

Part of it might be ur driving a hatch so people get closer to u than when u have a trunk. That being said I noticed this but I think there is no point cept being an arse for a suv to tailgate me I drive closely to other cars it helps with the wind restance most te time I make that right lane look good lol but sometimes I have to get were I'm going and il pick up the pace but I have noticed it but it's not as bad considering with the stuff il pull no one stays behind me

HA! Connecticut and Massachusetts drivers are notorious for passing on the right. In heavy traffic they take to the breakdown lane. State posts signs telling people it's illegal, do'h. I've seen 'em driving I-95 flat out like it's a slalom course.

There are still white boys playing boogie and blues in the urban areas in Texas... Few of them have the historical knowledge of the genre that Bob Hite "The Bear" and Al Wilson "Blind Owl" did.... I have been listening to them on vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes, disks, down loads for 42 years..... They took Delta Blues and turned it into electric boogie.... Thanks KC.... I have been trying to duplicate what Blind Owl did on blues harp since 69. They faded off in popularity after his death but the band is still playing gigs with just one of the original members.

On some roads in MA those signs actually tell you when it's LEGAL to drive in the breakdown lane:

So then, what if you actually breakdown during those times? You're screwed? Cause I wouldn't want to be in that lane if there's someone in a 3 ton pick-up plowing down that lane at 80 mph, and he's too busy trying to pass the guy next to him (whose going 75 too!) to notice a tiny Fit with hazards on.

Or are you now required to roll off into the grass and ditch?

I forgot about those signs....

Seems to me it's was a simple fact that there were so many drivers doing it the powers that be gave into it. Anyone wanting a lesson in aggressive driving need to spend a day driving in and around Boston. He who hesitates looses. The more aggressive you drive the better off you are - to each his own, and they're keeping it.

Yes. What happens is that when you draft a truck the engine has to work harder in the truck and your vehicle becomes the trailer wheels so the trailer starts to shake and the play in the fifth wheel shakes the tractor. If you ever tailgate a truck he will slow down to annoy the person and maybe drive in the rocks to kick up rocks so you will pass. It depends on on much weight is in the truck and in the winter on icy roads could cause the truck to jack knife. Thats probably why vehicles are front wheel drive now, except some hi performance cars that you wouldn't drive in the winter. They are starting to put on trailer flares to help, you will see them running the whole length of the trailer.

Thanks, I had no idea that a car would have such an unsettling effect on such a large vehicle.... That explains what I have seen occur to stock cars on TV.

If I notice someone is intentionally being an a-hole and tailgating me on purpose, I drop down a gear (of course, as long as it won't blow the engine) without tapping the brakes (no brake lights to warn them off). Not only does it scare the poo out of the other driver when they are suddenly closing in faster than they intended, but I have enough torque to get out of the way if they don't catch themselves. Never fails that they will either pass or back off after that.

Just slow down let them pass and then try to catch up.

There is enough people on the road that will take that as being drunk driver and you will get pulled over. If you have had a drink, you just got a DUI and they got a 100 dollars.

Don't even try to catch up. Let 'em roll. You've got better things on your mind, right?

Slow drivers just have to let quick drivers pass and everyone will be happy.

Your Right, I was going to work on a 4 lane highway and this lady cut across 2 lanes and almost hit me, I slowed down then passed her and she got right behind me so I slowed down let her go and no car in right lane looked behind me and tried to get over a car out of nowhere appeared I am doing 75 mph. People are getting more aggressive lately. I deal with traffic in a truck as big as a house so I can tell stories. People dont think and dont understand driving.
