As great as your car looks with those wheels I have to admit that bringing it down a little would make it really big time great looking... The wheels look bigger than Dallas as brightly finished as they are and that somehow make the car look higher than it is.... I wouldn't have said what I just did if you didn't already have plans to take it down a little.

 

So do you think that the swift springs will lower it enough to make it look pretty decent? or would I have to go lower

 

I like what the Swift springs do that improves the handling and ride quality without compromising ground clearance, damper function and CV joint longevity... Springs with more drop would look great but not worth the negative effects that come with the look in my opinion.... I did the extreme drop 29 years ago on a Rabbit and when my son got a Rabbit Cabriolet when he graduated I helped him put the springs on it. About a week later he took them off ....Your car will remain flatter in tuns and feel like it is cornering better but that is just an illusion as my son found out when he hit a curb while cornering at a speed that he had taken the turn at many times.... It looked real good, sure did.... Just be aware that there will be problems if you go too low but you will receive a lot of complements about the way it looks.... Its kind of like having a pretty girlfriend that is a high maintenance bitch that hates having sex.

Mr. Bubbles, the SWIFT springs will definitely make the car look better than it already does. Just take a gander at the one named Adele. Some here will say that it is not low enough, but I just think those people don't really appreciate a very good handling car. You go lower than 25mm on the Fit, work needs to be done on the front sussy as the geometry is off and handling is as well, though I'm sure some will say it handles better. I doubt it, if they took the car to a circuit and pushed the living crap out of it, they would notice it doesn't handle as well as they think.

 

Lowering only looks good on el caminoes.

And let me mention that there are some VERY steep driveways in my neck of the woods and I have never scraped on anything...ever. (crosses fingers)

Swift springs look really good for those looking for a very subtle drop.

 

Yeah--I went from 4 to 2 finger gap in the front
and from 4.5 to 2.5 finger gap in the rear

It looks really nice, rides great and I have had ZERO problems.

Also--with Swift, you don't have to cut the bumpstops...whoot!

Haha yeah but every time I ask her if she wants to help she says no cause I take to long to wash my car and I go into too much detail. But I did see her today, I just took the 5 mile detour to avoid the construction zone lol

 

you need to get multiple wheel lock sets..... dont use the lugs, just the one that has the key....

 

I thought about that, but honestly with the locks on there now, our security camera set up, and the way we park (i am 2 inches from the garage door, and the other car is 2 inches behind mine and the other is right door to mine, i doubt they can get to them. I also turn my wheels so they cant steal the front ones. If anything I will buy one more set of locking lug nuts, just for a little protection.

haha i know, he gave me a hard time for suggesting rotas to someone. the only reason i have the mugens i cause someone stole my stock ones and our deductible was 500. but before that happened i actually looked at some rotas, i like them. you dont have to sacrifice your arm and leg for good looking wheels
