where do you keep the friggin change!?

hey guys...

i was just wondering, where does everyone keep your change from jingling around? I realized that the fit doesn't REALLY have a place to keep your change for quick access, i.e. Drive thrus.

its been bothering me, i didn't want to keep it in the front open compartment but rather out of sight. did you guys buy an armrest? do they even come with a change compartment?

do you just THROW AWAY your change!? GAHHHH!!!

this is disgruntling... (yes i get bothered by the oddest things)

oh... btw... i keep a money clip, so the only thing i keep in my "wallet" are cards and cash. having change in my pocket is not an option.

Well, my Fit is a GD3 and we can remove a unused plastic cover under the outside mirror button and replace it with a JDM coin holder. If you Google it on the web there are several places that sell them including e-bay if they will work on a new Fit - not quite sure.

Cta :x

I put mine in the center rear cupholder. It's pretty much out of sight, and still easily accessible, although not organized in any form. I throw my wallet into the slot under the center console/air vent control, and put my sunglasses in one of those forward-center cupholders. They have a slot in them which works well to allow the glasses to stay in place, sticking up enough to grab them when needed.

Hey...

I have one of these in the center console cupholder behind the parking brake

The top "sits" on top of the bottom--pennies go in the bottom and I occasionally put a few bucks in there just in case...

It works AWESOME and holds more coin than the JDM button coinholder (even though that will get you some baller points hehe)

It is also cheap at around $5 at Wal-Mart or online.

Not that i have ge, but one cup holder in my car is devoted to change. I probably have twenty bucks in change in my car all the time.

Well, perhaps you need more organization with a handy-dandy Bell Cupholder Coin Holder...LOL

Here's where I keep my change... I also bought them from Squawking.

You could also get the JDM Honda center console which has this

JDM Center console front lower cover, P/N 83403-TFO-003ZA
JDM Center console front coin holder, P/N 83404-TFO-003ZA

Change must be thrown out the window as soon as possible, power to weight and whatnot.

I use a snap shut glasses case from the dollar store.

It fits in the center console under the heater controls and power outlet.

Seriously - visible loose change is an invite. Clean interior. No clutter. I do like the drivers cup holder. Cell phone coinage, but I don't leave them in there.

I've done that eyeglass case thing. Paper as well, bomb proof, thanks.

It's funny what people value in a car.
I had a 1993 Accord. My 2010 Fit is a superior vehicle in almost every respect, save one. The Accord? Has a felt lined slide out drawer on the left side of the dashboard. I used that to hold accumalated change as I drove.

Despite having a cup holder for every day of the week and then some, The Fit has nothing that is as convienent as that drawer.

I bought on of those "cup style" ash trays at a local Wal-Mart like store, it has a spring loaded flip up top and I lined it with one of those insulaters that are suppose to keep your canned pop cool. I keep it in the lower center drivers side cup holder space. It works pretty good.

But as active as car makers seem to be with ergonomics and design, and they seem to be on to the reality that people want cup holders, they should realize that with Cell phones, Digital Camera's and the like, people want a place to store change in exactly the manner the OP has presented.

The Fit has like 10 cup holders but no real convienent place for this application.

Lyon[Nightroad] whenever I see your car on the street, I'll make sure to throw my change at you ^^V (I may end up throwing change at ALL the orange fits around here)

fitchet, i actually have a LG Dare (cellphone) and it conveniently sits in the vertical slot things next to the e brake. Its quite beautiful actually. So the cellphone thing is ok.

I might check out the walmart thing...
