Has the front bumper design changed from 08 to 09 model?

I have seen pictures of 08 which seems to be in one large moulding which completely surrounds the grill, whereas 09 seems to be a lower moulding with a separate grill cover above.

 

They should be the same. Are you talking about the optional grille maybe?

I have been looking at www.collegehillshonda.com They show installation instructions for replacement front grill P/N 08F21-SLN-100A for the 2008 FIT and
P/N 08F21-TK6-100 for the 2009 FIT.

The front bumper mouldings shown are completely different. The instructions are from American Honda Motor Co.Inc

 

Ah! That's because we didn't get the new model until '09 in the US, so you are probably looking at two different cars.

The OP might have been looking at the bumpers of two entirely different chassis generations. The older, rounder GD3 was last sold 2008 in the US, and the more angular GE8 was sold 2009 to present.

So needless to say...yes the bumper has changed
