wheel questions

so i'm lookin to get roto grids in bronze... size i'm lookin at is 16x7 et40... anyone have advice with this. will i need spacers, ect... tires will be azenis 215/45r 16.

also any suggestions on suspension. i don't want to go the coilover route, i was thinkin koni yellows with springs, but i'm unsure what springs are successful with the fits.

thanks again everyone!

wow those are wide tires! If you don't want to drop it too much, then get the Swift springs....a handful of people who have gotten them love them, as they ride close to stock. The slight drop will also prevent rubbing, which would probably happen with most other drops. I know some people have added spacers in the back to even out the look but I don't think you'd really need them...but that's preference.

205's will still rub with the +40 offset if you go too low! Go with the swift springs and you should be good though

honestly i have no problem running spacers and rolling the fenders

it rubs against the fender lip if you go lower than 1.5in. fold them back and you're golden

actually, i had those rims and tires on my fit....exact size as you mentioned. i still have pics as well. you won't even be close to rubbing with swift springs...can still go lower, depending on how you want it to look. if you'd like, you can pm me and i can send you pics so you can see

Stick with 45 mm offset and you don't really have any advantage over 7" in rim width. Keep tire diameter less than stock, 23.5" GD and 24" GE. Then you're 215/45x16's should fit OK unless you drop significantly. Any tire width over 215 is a waste and the extra weight will cost your acceleration and mpg dearly.
