Looks like they are following suit of the golf/genesis coupe treatment on the RS front end by going with the full-width black opening. I think I like it. Much more aggressive considering the subdued look of the old one.

Agreed.

But the grille looks like it was the product of a Nissan Murano and a Fit.

I love the RS look, imagine how cool it will look on the USDM bumper, extended.

Besides the RS, I'm not digging any of the facelifts.

I just hope that minivan looking silver grille doesn't make it over here as the new universal grille on our models. I like the way they pronounce the line of the hood down into the grille on the RS, and will be disappointed if we get the shaft on this new direction in their styling when we get the refresh over here. I think that aggressive face would go over well with the American crowd.

I don't think it is ugly, but at this time I prefer the current front-end on the RS. Though I'm sure this new front-end will look really good when the aftermarket gets a hold of it. Wondering if they changed the rear end as well. Who knows though, maybe I will swap over front-ends when this comes out versus going the route I was thinking of going.

RS front end initially made me think of the new VW Sirrocio (spelling?).

After spending the past week here in Thailand staring at thousands of GE Jazz's...I much prefer the longer USDM front end. The Jazz is more photogenic, but in person looks too small and "econo-box," whereas the Fit looks like a real car.

The big thing over here appears to be plastic "brembo" caliper covers and red-painted rear drums.

do i sense another 2002-2004 --> 2005 Acura RSX scenario? where the latter front end looks so much better than the 2002-2004?

You do realise that apart from the RS, the others are all the same except for different grills, right?

Completely disagree. The refreshed model looked so damn soft and girly. The first one looked more menacing. And the rear end of the refresh looked horrible with the black strip across the bottom of the bumper and tje tacky taillights. I'm not even really being bias since I owned a 2003 ITR, because I have never liked the soft looking model and never will when compared to the first edition. If that model was released first I wouldn't think it was bad looking, but comparing between the 2, Honda went soft with the refreshed look.
