Every so often, the Fit looks amazing
I like the look of the Fit a lot. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't. For me, it's just sporty enough to keep my 47 year old ass satisfied. The other day I was in a hospital parking lot, got out to head inside, looked back at my Fit and was blown away at how great it looked. It was a certain light outside, surrounded by trees, and just looked fantastic. [OMG, I sound like a girl. Note to self, a night out with the guys is in order.] But it really did look sensational. There are times when the Fit looks amazing- like a freaking car commercial. I often look around and think this car really does have quite a bit of style and is a stand out in a sea of boring cars. So many cars have nothing going for them in style. I wonder why so many people are fine with buying such boring ass cars. No real style at all. And then you look at the Fit and it smacks with great style. People still ask me about the car often. It always draws looks. Honda got the style right for this car, imo. Over a year into ownership and I still turn around when Im walking away from it and admire it. I have a hunch I'll be doing that for quite some time.
Now I'm gonna have a beer and watch a game. Maybe that will unbraid my balls! But maybe first I'll take a quick peek in the driveway......!

i think at most angles the GEs look great.... at other angles, not so much.
but the fit definitely has a provocative look.
shortly after i got my car, my 83 year old chinese female neighbor said, "that's a beautiful car."
now if i can only get a women 60 years younger to say that.

It really is designed well. The back I have some issues with sometimes, but overall it's a great futuristic, clean, stunning design. It will outlast the Fiesta's design. I always look back at my cars. Funny thing is whenever I'm looking at my car, onlookers ask me if something's wrong, as if I'm noticing something wrong with the car, lol.
The GE has interesting sheet metal creases and curves to capture and reflect the light, so it's no wonder it looks great.
I've owned mine for just over 2 years and it's appeal just keeps getting stronger with me. I've owned several Hondas and Acuras over the past few years and finally this Fit is the one that makes me happy, being the 2nd most beloved car I've had since my 94 Integra GS-R.

I too miss my GS-R (2000) as there was really nothing like winding out that B18C1 My 86 prelude Si 2.0 was another car I miss because that was like a slot car. If I could have them back I'd take them in a heartbeat. (but wouldn't trade the fit)

Something I've observed is that I liked the Fit's looks when I first saw one, and I still like it just as much a year and a half later. Some other cars, like the Kia Soul, that looked really good when I first saw the commercials (maybe it was the hamsters), have worn on me and the more of them that I see the less I like them.
On the other hand, there are cars like the latest generation Pontiac Vibe that I really didn't like at first, but I like more as I see them. And then there are cars that I haven't liked from day one and still don't, like the "retro-look" HHR and PT Cruiser, and the latest Scion xB.
It's just interesting how we all perceive things like the styling of different cars differently. And don't even start on color preferences.

Also in agreement on the TP Crapper and HHR. Same with the SSR from Chevy. They got the "retro" done right with the Camaro but failed elsewhere. I've never liked the xB as no matter what's been done with it, it still looks like a box and it ALWAYS looks like it is cheaply made. Granted, it's a Toyota and that in itself breeds predominantly reliability but... I Can't get past it's cheap looks. The yaris has the same look IMO. The Base fit to me looks unfinished but doesn't have the "cheap" look that other manufacturers have in their entry level models.
Maybe my H sunglasses are on but I have to agree with 99% of the reviews that put the FIT as your best bet in this segment... even with the fiesta in the lineup. (as you can't get the 40MPG and Acceleration that they claim in the same package unlike the FIT)

I made an interesting observation. I checked inventory online of Fiesta's in my area, and of several dozen, I saw none with the SFE package that is required to get the 40 MPG highway. That 40 MPG appears to be mostly a marketing gimmick by Ford. They probably only manufacture a few like that but get lots of mention of 40 MPG in the press.
This is probably an evaluation of The Fits "looks" that won't appeal to many owners. But I don't mean it as a slam or negative.
To me what I LIKE about The Fit?
IMO it's a really unique combination of "Sporty" and "Geeky". - She's like the girl with the horn rimmed glasses, but you know when you see her in the prom dress, she's going to look great.
Alright...enough of my bad John Hughes film high school flashbacks.
But I enjoy the looks of my Fit. It's unique without being gimicky extreme. It's sporty and utilitarian.
I also like the dash and interior. Which I also find interesting. Love the blue lighted gauges.
Honda did a LOT right with the Fits design.

+1 and it somewhat reminds me of my CRX Si in years past although it is seems lacking some of the low end grunt. Maybe like a four door CRX.
I think the angle it looks it's best at is looking at it from in front of the car but on a diagonal, so you're getting a front-side veiw. Very sharp at that angle and the body lines serve well to enhance that. And because the Fit is still a minority in most any parking lot, it stands out in a sea of blah, ho hum cars. Especially with a shine, which of course I try and keep fresh all the time.

Yeah, whenever I'm the first one in the parking lot at work, I walk about halfway to the door and turn around. It's really something to see the AM sunlight hit those sheet-metal creases and curves.
I'm so happy they changed the styling with the GE; as the Versa, Matrix, Yaris, etc. have undergone styling changes, I think the GD ends up getting lost in the ubiquity of economy hatchbacks. The Fiesta is nice on the outside, but the interior (however nice the materials are) screams farty old American car. The GE stands apart, though, and while some people think it's pretty ugly, I'll admit that it grows on me every day.
Still need to get them windows tinted, though...
