MPG KILLER and WEIRD NOISE ???

just a quick question.

i use to get about 33-36 MPG with a Greddy Tic on and just recently(3 weeks) i also added a CAI INJEN INTAKE and for some reason at first my car was fine. it still ran good MPG. but lately for the past 3 fill ups, im only getting 26-28 MPG ? whats wrong with my FIT ? maybe its the weather because i live in las vegas and it was about 100 degrees when i got the CAI but now its like 80s and below, usually 74 highest for the day lately.

help anyone ?

another question...

ever since my CAI has been in, when i drive and hit red line and let go of the gas, it starts rattling. i can hear it coming from where the filter is. does anyone know what this is ? maybe its a loose filter ? or loose clamps ? but its very annoying.

please and thank you FF WORLD.

Your probably pressing the gas pedal more because you want to hear the intake/exhaust

Stick with the KISS rule. What was the last thing you touched before the rattling started?

Try putting the original intake back on to see if mileage and noise improves.

MAFs are delicate. Bad readings can lead to a loss in mileage and performance. Be careful with yours, and what you connect to it. If something if vibrating a part of your intake tube, I can't imagine the havoc played on the tiny metal element inside your MAF.

/public service announcement about MAFs.
