I know one of you guys has pulled your GE8 headliner

I'm going to pop an NMO mount in the roof.. means drilling a 3/4" hole with an NMO hole saw. Anyways, I need to make sure I don't hit any cross beams or wires with the drill and I won't want to pull the head liner.

What I'm wondering is.. if anyone has had their headliner out for whatever reason and can tell me where the dome light wires run and if there's a cross beam under the sheet metal?

The hole saw is designed specifically for this application.. won't go deep enough to damage the head liner but it will cause a problem if it hits any wires mounted directly to the roof where I drill......

That is perfect!

Looks like I can reach in and feel the cross braces...

Since you've done the audio stuff, any thoughts on disassembling any of the interior plastic? What about a good clean source for power?

Did some exploring today.. going to pop the NMO dead center, right between the brace at the dome light and the one from the rear hand holds.
