Cleaning the inside of your windshield

I find it hard to reach all of the inside of my windshield. Does everyone just have longer arms than me or is there a trick to it? Maybe I need a telescoping arm or something.

I usually clean the outside of the windshield with those gas-station squeegies by standing in front of the bumper. Does that give me long arms? I don't know.

I use one of those "As Seen on TV" clean you windshield things. I dunno if its that awesome, but it works pretty well and breaks down into pieces that fit in the glove box.

LOL, yea, I know he's talking about the inside. It's to far to do while just sitting in the seat - I usually have to sorta crouch up by the dash.

Luckily it's not something that has to be done often - it's not like you spend much time touching the inside of the glass, and it's not exposed to many dirty elements.

I'll see what I can find locally first. I just need something to compensate for my short arms.

Well, our local drugstore has a section for "As Seen on TV" products. That's where I'd try first.

you are just lucky you do no live in southern California, where the air is so filled with smog like hydrocarbon grease that the windows on cars develop an "oily film" (both inside and out) that does not come off easily. This is a problem on both my Civic and Fit that have such steeply raked widows (front and back on the Civic coupe) that cleaning them well is next to impossible.

I use Windex and a microfiber towel. As odd as it seems, it is easier for me to stand outside the vehicle, with the door open, grab on to the A piller and support my weight while leaning in to get to the half of the window. Repeat for the other side.

Wal-Mart sells those As Seen On TV window cleaners and that is what we use on the inside to get the entire inside window clean and shiney. They work great and give you the extra length to get into the corners and cranny places you can't reach with your arms.

I also bought that Windshield Wonder as it was perfectly designed for a car like the Fit. Cost me $8 and was worth it to me.

I usually use window cleaner without ammonia for the tinted portions (well, when I had tinted windows). Armor all, Meguiars, Turtle-Wax, whatever, the all make special tint-safe window cleaner sprays. I still would always use a good ammonia-based cleaner for the outside surfaces, and the inside of the windshield - it produces a better streak-free result.

Invisible Glass works alrighty. I just reach with my arms. Washing/cleaning the car is a small workout!

OEM Honda Glass Cleaner, well that just works wonders for a price you pay.

I also use a windshield wonder, works great for the windshield.

And for those of you that asked about cleaning with tint, I use invisible glass. It works great (better than windex) and is safe for tint, and its cheap. Like $3 or $4

I like one in the aerosol can, but I've never used the squirt bottle.

Vinegar and water - cheap and works as well as any so called window cleaners.

Thanks- I spot clean my rugs at home this way-works great. This should be fine on window tint, right? I think my tint instructions said no ammonia based cleaners.
