Good work , but like others have said, too big for my taste.

Also, it would be too much of an incentive for thieves to break out your window to look for the ipad that is supposed to be in there.

Even though you never leave it in there when you get out, If i was a thief i would break in to make sure you did't stash it under the seat or in the back somewhere.

Later,

Clay

Back in the old days (before radios had codes that made them useless to steal) it was very common to see a sign on the window of the car that said, "no radio!" They were on cars that had their radios already stolen or had removable radios. That usually kept the thieves away. Just revise it to "no iPad, iPod, etc, in car."

Might as well add "no wheel lock in car" as well. ;-)

When I am desperate to check things on ipad while driving, I'll asked my wife to key in ipad to search for the info I wanted eg weather, route info, restaurant and then she holds the ipad in front of my face for me to read after she got the results

Good point neil patrick harris... never thought of the words "voice activated" and "physically automated".....but this solution has a higher cost of maintenance though...

That's pretty ingenious, though I think the iPad itself is just too big to work. Maybe if Apple comes out with a 7" version....

marlove, have you ever thought of using one of those ipad cases that just clicks onto the rear of the ipad? i think it'll save you some time as opposed to sliding the ipad into a mount.

example:

it may be more convenient but it won't hide the dock port cable like your frame/bezel setup. you seem to be very good at fabrication so you can probably make it look clean.
