Picked up a Taffeta White, Sport, 5MT over the weekend. Wanted something good with gas, cheap, and basically low TCO.

Congrats! You'll have a blast with this car, esp with the MT.

That photo looks like it could be in Palos Verdes? Doesn't look like Redondo.

Thanks!

It's actually in Scripps Ranch (San Diego), where my parents live. I searched for about a month for a white, sport 5MT, but couldn't find one in socal until this popped up last Friday. I drove down to San Diego to pick it up (about a 2 hour drive from me) and the salesman stated that I was the first guy to drive it. It had 5 miles on the odometer.

Niice picture. I was on the fence trying to decide between new 2011 TW sport VS 2010 SSM sport. Great color choice.

Nice picture and nice FIT! Good luck with it, like C5MT said, you'll have a blast with it (mine has the AT though).

I am also very much liking that M3 in the background. Yours?

Congrats on your new Fit! As you may already know, you made the right choice for low TCO. According to Consumer Reports the fit has the lowest TCO of any car sold in America.

BTW, does everyone in your neighborhood drive a white car?

Yes, well my fiance's to be exact.... I also have an M3, but the gas prices are killing me. I commute from Redondo Beach to Newport (73 miles round trip) which is part of the reason why I chose the Fit as a second car. Also, having two M3's isn't exactly practical and we wanted something with 4 doors and had the versatility of the Fit.

Yes, read about TCO on Edmunds!

Actually my parent's neighborhood, but I must've just picked the exact time all the white cars came out when I took that picture.

Probably just functional stuff. I want to use this car for camping, snowboarding, carrying my bicycles, etc., plus I already have a modded car, so doing anything crazy is most likely out of the question. I've ordered the OEM visors and the cargo cover so I'm waiting for those to come in. I did notice at freeway speeds, the car feels unstable to me. I might want to do sway bars or something to improve the handling.

+1 on the Progress sway bar. Got 140 on the clock so far and that's the first "real" mod to go in. Just done some town driving and it makes a nice difference. I'd expect it to help at freeway speeds with cross winds and such too. Liking my Fit a lot already.
