Thank you!
Thank you!
I Just wanted to say thank you to all the people that post their wealth of information on these forums. I decided to install an aftermarket radio - so I could get my ipod away from my cup holder (why did they put the aux power in front of the driver's cup holder?) I'm not really into major stereo stuff, but - the amount of real estate that the stock radio took up was crazy, a girl's got to have a place to put her stuff. Anyway now with your help I've got a stereo with an ipod dock - working am/fm radio and bluetooth (although it appears that will mostly be for answering the phone - not dialing out) and a pocket to put more stuff. The only problem is after checking out these forums - now I might need to do more stuff to my Fit! Anyway, it is appreciated, thank you.
Will try and do the picture thing in a couple of days.
As to my name - I wasn't really looking for a Honda Fit - I was getting tired of mechanics costing me money on my PT Cruiser, which other than the repair bills - I actually liked - but figured I'd better start looking so that when the next big thing went wrong I might be ready. I was really interested more in the CRV, Nissan Rogue, Chev Equinox, Hyundai Tuscon etc. But the salesman convinced me to give the Fit a test drive and since they still had some 2010's the price was good and I was surprised at the versatility and so forth - the forum helped me decide some too - but it kind of felt like an arranged marriage so it when it came to picking a name - it just seemed to fit. However, the more I drive it, the more impressed I'm getting - I might be able to pay for it on the gas and oil change savings alone - I'm at 6700 km and 70% oil. So it being an Unlikely Fit - might end up with a few more tweaks a perfect fit!

both times that was after about 6900 miles (11,102 km).
in the summer, the car went about 1100 miles (1770km) for every 10% interval on the monitor.
in winter, the car went about 560 miles (900km) between 10% intervals.
ps: i'm amazed a salesman actually tried selling you a fit.
generally they will bend over backward to try to sell you a different model.
Yeah, they only had two left and I guess they wanted them gone. But even better, my pastor was talking about buying a civic and I gave him a referral card the salesman gave me and the dealership cut me a $100 cheque. I'm just hoping their service department is good - I am really tired of paying for mechanic errors - even when they cover their own labour - the parts and time cost big time.
