2010 Fit Sport with Nav - dealer

Hello Fit Freaks,

My local dealer has a New Orange Revolution Metallic 2010 Fit Sport with Nav - Red Tag sale priced at $19,395. I'm wondering with 2012's coming out relatively soon if I have an bargaining power here.

Thanks in advance. For anyone in the US, have a great Fit filled 4th.

the 2012 FIT's are coming late! and $19,3 is a really good deal for a 2010 fit sport with nav as long as it has under 30k miles. I am a salesman at a Honda dealer...our used fits with nav are selling for over $21K!!!

Looks like MSRP was $19,110, plus the delivery fee.

2010 Honda Fit Prices and EPA Data - Honda.com

One year ago, I bought a new 2009 Fit Sport Automatic w/NAV. MSRP was $18,760 plus a delivery fee of $670. I got it for $18k out the door, which included a 3% sales tax. It had been on the lot for about a year, as the one you mention probably has.

Don't be afraid to push them on price. Make them an out-the-door offer, and let them know you're ready to put down a deposit right away. Do it by email if you're not comfortable with face-to-face of phone negotiation. The fact is that the car has been there a long time, and they're probably motivated to get rid of it. The worst they can do is say no.

To be fair, I did a lot of searching and was very patient, which helped me find an unusually good deal. I'm sure there was luck involved too! A deal that good is quite rare, but I think you can do better than what they are offering.

Be aware that if you buy it, you might need a new battery soon. When a battery sits for a year with almost no charging time, it can suffer unrecoverable damage. My battery gave up the ghost about 2 months into ownership, and it was replaced under warranty. Just be prepared. Maybe buy one of those cheap self-contained jumper kits. The smallest one should be enough for our little engines.

Also, note that even though it's a year old, the warranty clock does not start ticking until the car gets bought, so you'll still have the full 3 years of warranty.

Well, that's more than I paid almost exactly a year ago for the same car. But of course things are different now.
