My Fit's first long trip

This passed week my family and I took the Fit on its longest trip to date; right at about 1,000 miles and she did flawlessly. The car was carrying three adults (ok, 2 adults and a heavy 17 year old) and was packed to the roof and she still managed 39 MPG. Here's a picture of my baby preparing for the return trip and what you can't see is the car is equally packed behind the driver's seat with two coolers, a new guitar, etc..

As my co-worker said, "That's like level 99 of Tetris!" LOL

Whoa Hog! Did you guys move at all inside or was that an option? So how was your level? Were your headlights shooting at the stars? Nice pix. You must have been bottoming out too. Thanks for the post.

You must know this guy here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/gene...ml#post1020373

Good to know all went well.

Believe it or not, I did not see any leveling issues whatsoever and I did a lot of night driving so if there was an issue, I can only presume I would have noticed. It did bottom out a couple of times on the pot hole ridden I-95 going through NY but besides that.....she didn't so much as wince and she maintained 80 mph to whole way.

Assembled gas grills fit too! Granted it was a tight fit so no need to "tie down all missile hazards"
