^this^ You need to make sure all the mold release compound is off of the tires before you push it. This is why your rear tires lost traction. New tires can be slippery as hell. That's why they tell you to take it easy for 500 miles. The rear tires on a fwd don't scrub off that compound very quickly either. I spun my GLHS completley around after putting new tires on it.

The only time that happened to me was when I put the throttle pedal down too soon when exiting a curve and the front tires began to spin as the rear end broke loose... Counter steering as you are sliding toward a substantial curb with the front tires squalling seems to take forever to pull out of when it is happening.... You can't control a 4 wheel drift in a FWD car like you can in a Datsun 240V or an Austin Healey 100-4.

I've spun out on my Fit too. This was on a back road where it's rarely used though. Some scary stuff, but would love to try again.

Good thing you were alright though

The real cause to the loss of control I believe is from my confidence level. I had a set of falken azenas 615's on the fit before. The tire hit the wear bars so I decided it was time for a quieter tire and a little more tread life. The compound is just different and I was use to it holding a much tighter line and the tires just couldn't do it.

im on bridgestone potenza re760's now

:rotfl:

EPIC HONDA TUNING.

I think the real cause to the loss of control is your shitty driving and the fact your tires are garbage all-seasons.
