That's what I got for my car OTD, but I also have navigation. I think you have much more room to negotiate. What was the sticker price?

Oh, and by $2100, I assume you meant $21,000 .

Bought a certified 2012 this weekend. Sport with A/T. 1,500 miles on the odometer. Still looks and smells new! $16000 (plus a $498 doc fee that they wouldn't budge on). Tennessee tax is 9.5% along with some other small tag fees brought the total to $17829.

I probably saved near two grand buying an *almost* new 2012 ...plus I now have a longer warranty.

Just bought a 2012 Orange Fit sport with interior illumination for 19,500 OTD. It was 18,500 plus tax and warranty.

$19,428.38 for a VBP 2012 Fit Sport M/T from Prime in Massachusetts. Includes sales tax (6.25%), extended warranty (6 years or 100,000 miles), rim/tire warranty, gap insurance (cost $600, to be refunded), no options, minus a $2,500 trade in (2002 Civic Si with 160,000 miles). Financed through Honda for 60 months at 3.94% and our goal is to have it paid in full by May 5, 2013.

As my wife and I are installing the car seat for our newborn daughter, the final task before driving off in our new Fit, the salesman asks to speak to me in private. Asks if there is anything I want to tell him about my trade. I say no, he sighs, pauses, and tells me that two different employees have been unable to get the trade into gear since the trade evaluation test drive. Not only did I get $500 more than I expected for the trade, but I left them with suddenly broken car. Not getting this dealer relationship off to a good start.

Just put a deposit down for a Sport AT. They didn't have Vortex Blue in stock, but should get one this week.

$17720 car
$454 Documentation and registration
-$640 trade in. ($60 less than I was hoping for)
$1067.50 Tax
$18601.50 OTD

Valley Honda in aurora/Naperville. Ask for Tom--they don't bullshit around since they are the biggest Honda dealer in the Midwest.

Damn man you should have took the time to sell you si privately! Could have easily gotten double that! Sold my 2002 SI with 155,000 miles on it in 2010 for $7500!!!

Thanks, I just had to laugh when I saw this post. I was communicating with Tom via email from Valley Honda for a few days and went in yesterday to buy the car. Got it for $19550 OTD for the A/T Fit Sport. Didn't trade in anything but got $1000 from carmax for my old 99 civic hx with transmission problems. Great transaction I highly recommend Valley Honda very painless process.

My wife's friend got a base red with a/t from Tom last week too--same deal was offered for a sport automatic. I don't know what she paid for the base but it was a pretty good price. Something like 15,700-16k

hmm, I bought my honda fit sport 2012 A/T w/o nav from Goudy Honda last week at almost 22k OTD price with 5yr paint(695) , fabric(195) protection warranty and the extra Karr alarm(595) included, was it a bad deal?
The dealer told me they won't sell the car to me unless I purchase those 2 warranties, so I had to...Tax rate is 8.75% here.

My dealership finance guy tried to sell me a 10 year warranty for $1K. I panicked and just said no. I'm a first time new car buyer and I had heard to never agree to any add-on's they push.

The thing is, I am the kind of guy who holds on to cars for a LONG time. I kept my Civic for 12 years. Did I make the wrong decision?

There are a number of discussions on the forum about warranties. When I was getting ready to buy I also wondered about this so I read quite a few of them. Opinions vary but the consensus seems to be that an extended warranty is not needed for the Fit.

At my purchase I turned down an extended warranty that even came with a money-back provision if the warranty was not used. Later I researched the insurance company backing it and found i made the right choice, as the insurance co. had been sued for not living up to their promises. IMO that is a danger with all warranties and you may not have what you think you were buying when the time comes to collect! Just my opinion.

Sorry to hear that but, you got ripped and then raped. I bought my '09 fit sport brand new at goudy in alhambra and they tried to pull the same sh1t on me.

I didn't pay close to what you paid. They even had claimed the tint on the rear window/ rear quarter window/ hatch was $350. I told them to go eat sh1t and was going to call honda corporate for their unethical business practice. The sales manager (Art) changed his tune quickly and said he would not include the other "warranties" and throw the tint in for "free". Goudy is by far the scheming-ist stealership I have ever been to. i only bought my fit there because there wasnt a white fit sport within a 500mile radius when I was shopping for mine.

True, the Goudy Honda ripped me off on the price, contract was already signed, but such business will only occur once, don't think they will get many returned customers in the future, hope other buyers won't bother to visit that stealership place in Alhambra! >_<

I closed a deal with Klein Honda in Everett WA yesterday on a 2012 Sport Fit automatic in Polished Metal metalic color (metalic grey color). Car will be in around or before 7 July - already due in when I closed the deal - not a new order.

I negotiated dealer invoice at $18,321 versus MSRP 18,700, and agreed to pay the $150 document fees after a lot of back forth. Turned down all accesories, warranties, paint sealants, windshield sealants, clear 3M bras etc.

It took hours to work out the trade in on our 2005 Subaru WRX wagon. Low mileage at 71,400, but some paint blemishes, and a split in the drivers seat leading edge on a seam. Plus the tow bar brackets which could be good or bad for the dealership in selling it. First offer was $7500, last that we agreed on was $9750.

I am a South Dakota resident, so will tax (excise versus sales tax) title and tag there and will pay 3% excise tax on the difference between sales price and trade in. I did my own financing with USAA for 1.79% 36 month.

Have already ordered Blue Ox tow bar bracket, lighting kit, Headlight Armor applique for fogs and headlights. When I install the tow bar, I'll install some protection in the lower grille to protect the AC condensor.

Also ordered from College Honda (online) center console, weather tech mats, wheel locks, and hood deflector.

Later I will do a window tint at around 50% tint level. I don't want too dark of a tint.

Thanks for all the posts I read in advance while doing research.

My manual Fit Sport was delivered to my work today. It was originally at a dealership in Tulsa, it was the dealership where my girlfriend's father works an hour and a half away, and then he drove it two hours to me. Paid $17,649 including $200 doc fee. No extras. Haven't tagged it yet. There was some sort of military discount applied. Seems like a pretty good deal.
