Hi folks! Figured I'd introduce myself; I've been perusing this site seeing what folks are doing with their Fits and trying to keep my hands off of my wallet so that I don't order parts galore. I'm coming from an '08 VW R32, which I absolutely loved, but I did not love the mpg and the maintenance costs. Before that I had a supercharged EP3 Civic Si, and several other Hondas previously.

There will certainly be some features I'll miss about the R32 like automatic everything from headlights to wipers, awd, ample power, and an exhaust note that sounded like something far more exotic, especially with the Borla exhaust. I was looking for a car that wouldn't cost as much to live with as the VW, and I've always been at home in a Honda. I test drove the Fit and I knew right away it was what I wanted.

I've seen lots of great how-tos on here, and I'm excited to be part of this cool site.

I'll post pics, but it's been raining here pretty much non-stop since I picked up the car yesterday. Once it dries off a bit, I'll have some.

 

Welcome to the forum! What color is your Fit? I have had my 2012 Sport MT in Silver since last Saturday.

 

Thanks! It's the Polished Metal Metallic color. It was between that and a TW in the next city over. Surprisingly they were the only MT Fits I could find aside from the occasional blue. My Civic was blue, so I wanted something different.

 

I love the PMM, that is my fave color next to the Silver. It is a surprise to me that you had any choice of manuals at all...most of us have had to special-order our manuals. I waited a month and a half for mine.
