Want to replace the wipers...
I am jealous of the Civic wipers that sweep up from the middle and clear to each side in a scissor motion. This leaves the uncleared spot behind the rearview mirror where it doesn't matter. They also use two normal sized wiper blades.
Our cars with the gargantuan 28" wiper blade and the tiny 14" wiper blade limits replacements, and leaves muck to right of the passenger's view.
Have not found any good winter blades in a set that I can install, and most of the crappy blades that come in both these sizes are worse than the factory blades and not made for the snow and ice.

Yes, but...
The factory blades and inserts aren't winter blades which was my question. Not as cheap if I have to replace them twice as fast after running them across ice on the windshield...

I go to my local Advance Auto and get inserts that will fit dimensionally (width, thickness, etc.), but not in length. I use a hack saw to cut to the proper lengths. Comes out fairly cheap and allow me to use better, or at least, try different material blades.

That's why you don't run your wiper blades over the ice on your windshield.. I endure edmonton winters and have had no issues with my factory wiper blades. Change the inserts every once in awhile and its all good.. for 10$ a set you can't go wrong. Try scraping your windshield before getting in the car

Here is what I was looking for...actually found on JC Whitney who is giving free shipping for anything...with code JCW2012.
All the application guides say to use the 13" Trico Winter Blade for the passenger side...they were cheaper on Amazon...and combined together for free shipping...$11.23 (13") + $18.59 (28")

TRICO WINTER BLADES
As the first manufacturer to develop winter wiper blades in 1953, TRICO set the standard for snow country performance. TRICO Winter blades feature a protective rubber boot to help prevent snow and ice from clogging the blade. This allows it to maintain even pressure to provide a clean wipe and enhance driving visibility. Winter blades have a riveted design for extra durability. Their extra-thick, rugged OEM metal superstructure provides superior strength, and the pre-attached universal adapter fits 95 percent of vehicles directly. TRICO Winter blades are available in lengths of 11" to 28".
