2012 Fit Sport. JDM Project. Ideas?
I bought my 2012 Fit sport! So exicted love the way it drives
I put on my JDM emblem. Some decals and. a Dohc Vtec decal.
Hopefully lower it by the start of the year, and tint is on its way next week =]

Out of curiosity, why the "I'm a rookie driver" badge in the window? I have yet to understand the fascination with having this stupid badge displayed in the US by some people.
Are you planning on doing a K swap or the yet to be released 1.6 or 1.8 engine down the road and just wanted to have decals now ahead of time?
Have fun with your Fit and don't mind my brashness, I just don't play the PC game and speak frankly.

^^ Because it's JDM Yo! That's been a funny trend over here for a few years now. I'm pretty sure half the people that have them here state side have no idea what that really means and just have them because every other import car around here has it.

Thanks guys! I just wanted to see if I was doin something wrong. Which I clearly am. But I will change it. And try to keep it simple.
Only reason why I have the. Type R emblem was to represent a fallen friend of mine that drove a type r. RIP SGt Rodriguez

Keep the R emblem or rather keep your car how you like it. My question has always just been WHY? that damn rookie driver badge is used stateside.
Remember this, your car is your car and you shouldn't be worrying what others may say about it, even if you hear negative comments, don't let people change what you like. I would rather see more people stand true to themselves than to be persuaded by the masses.

Wow you guys are harsh haters. I'm not into JDM'ing out Hondas but if you must I say keep the red emblems, but swap the DOHC decal out for the SOHC one. You can get the SOHC decal here:
i-VTEC SOHC Decal
You will have to select the size you want in the drop box. I chose a smaller one so it's more subtle.
Mine:
@Mike410, I would have to disagree with your statement about the i-VTEC being not worthwhile. Compared to the previous generation Fit that does not have i-VTEC, I may agree, but for what that little cam is doing with 1.5L I say its extremely worthwhile. I wouldn't go without it. I popped a short ram on mine and you really do get the VTEC "pop" at ~5400rpm? Always puts a smile on my face.. and then a frown as I reminisce over my two turbo civics I had before the Fit :\
And 555sexy is right, fuck the haters don't be like the rest. Bring the vision in your mind to life!!

Every car gets louder at higher rpm's.
My D16A6 and B18B1 both got noticeably louder at 3-4k rpm, neither had VTEC.
The i-VTEC in the Fit is there for economy purposes, nothing more.

Again I have to completely disagree. There is a significant difference in the sound between say a b18b1 revving up and getting louder, and an engine with vtec abruptly crossing over to a different set of more aggressively profiled cam lobes. Vtec is not an economy feature.. It's there for power in higher, where smaller displacement engines would be lacking. It in no way affects the economy in the lower rpm range. Hence why more base (economic) models were not kitted with vtec. Yeah..

Yeah, small engines totally have less power near the top of the rev range. That's why 600cc sport bikes have 3k rpm redlines and 6.0l diesels rev to 13,000 rpm.

Sigh. I could debate this all night. Suffice it to say having owned a variety of naturally aspirated and forced induction Honda engines, driven countless more tuned and stock Honda engines, spending the last 4 years working in Honda dealership shops, VTEC is a good thing. A must have on a small engine, and certainly not 'not worthwhile' as you put earlier.

The VTEC in the D-series, L-series is a joke.

I obviously agree dohc vtec is the obvious choice. I'm merely trying to say that sohc vtec is nothing to be scoffed at, in its own class. I wouldn't own a small gas engine that did not have some sort of variable valve timing setup. Vtec is one of the main reasons hondas small displacement engines hold a candle against other larger engines. But it all goes back to hondas belief in and pursuit of high efficiency, small displacement engines, and that's why I love them.
