PLEASE HELP, my fit died at 15,xxx miles
Well if being in the military has taught me anything it's don't be late or your going to get f##ked. So the moral of this story is, be responsible and strive to be 15 minutes early.

You don't seem to understand. If the Fit were a better car it would have made it there 15 minutes before he did and gotten the promotion for him.

Learned that a few years back, got into a bad accident because the client I was working at was being an absolute ass. Never will do it again - you can fire me first. No job, boss, or whatever, is worth putting your own life (and others) in danger.

I think the moral is:
If you're getting fired for being late and you had an excuse such as car brokedown,
Maybe it's FML OR maybe there's some other things you've done which led to this breaking point where you have no chances left.

Either way, maybe it's time to contemplate if there were some poor decisions made or bridges burnt which put you in such a vulnerable position that a single random event of a car breakdown is all it takes to completely ruin you.

Did you look under the hood to check to see if it was there? I don't think you'd be able to drive if the engine was missing...

The engine can't be over revved unless you wind out pretty tight in 4th gear and when shifting to 5th you accidentally hit 3rd... The rev limiter does you no good at all when that happens... My rev limiter has been raised 400 RPM and I rev right up as close as I can get to it before shifting.. Sometimes I hit the limiter by accident in 1st or 2nd but other than making me feel like a dumb ass it really isn't doing any damage when it happens.

Fit top speed
A stock Honda fit can go as fast as 115 mph.
I set my clock 30 minutes ahead for the time I want to get up. I've never been late for work because I always make sure I am there 30 minutes before hand. I am old school and believe you go in 30 minutes early and you don't leave when the clock hits 4:30 PM unless you are done for the day.

My Fit has been supercharged and has a few other performance modifications so there is much more stress of the engine and drive train than one that is stock... I have to use higher viscosity oil in it or it consumes more oil lost by way of blow by when on boost but other than that I have had no problems other than an exhaust leak at the exhausts header that I'm removing today to find the cause... It is almost impossible to not hit the rev limiter in 1st or 2nd gears at full throttle. With my ECU reflashed and the limiter set to rev 400 RPM higher there has been no problems... I don't think you can break one of these engines as long as the air/fuel ratio isn't wrong, the cooling system is working and there is enough oil in it.
