Fuses & LED Bulbs
I am a proud new owner of a 2012 Fit Sport.
However, I am having what I would guess is just garden variety bad luck.
I have had a few bulbs burn out in just the month I have owned it. So, I decided to just go LED and avoid further issues with cheap ass bulbs.
I am doing PIAA headlight & foglight bulbs anyway, so why not brighten up the rest of the lighting. First of all, I managed to accidentally blow the running lights fuse. I'm telling you, those microscopic fuses are in a VERY inaccessable fuse panel under the driver's side dash. Just changing that fuse was a lesson in futility to the point of my blood actually boiling.
Then, I started installing the front parking lamp amber LED's. They were polarized, so I had to find out what was hot and ground. Once I got that down, I plugged in the new LED. It was very nice and a great upgrade from the stock incadescant 194NA bulb. Upon putting the socket with the new LED back into the lamp housing, the LED fell out of the socket and into the lamp cavity.
And just my luck, I have NOTHING here (i.e. forceps) to fish the mother fuc&er out either.
So far...not a good go of it. But anyway, I have everything in my tools at work and tomorrow is another day.
I will do a detailed post of what I did and how it came out when and if I ever get it done.

Hey, I also have a 2012 Sport! How are you getting under the center console where the white ambient light is already coming from? It should be a simple plug and play bulb swap, assuming that's actually a dedicated bulb making the light, and not just extra light from the temp controls/etc. I couldn't find a good way to remove the panel (with the holes that the light shines through) and have yet to see a detailed explanation of how to do it on the forums here. I've replaced the rest of the interior lights, and the license plate lights, with blue LED's for a very nice effect with my black Fit. Some might say its looks somewhat ricer, but I think the effect isn't too flashy and ends up being rather stylish, in fact my girlfriends parents commented that they liked it :P Anyway, any help you or anyone else could provide would be much appreciated....

around where there could be up to three accessory buttons (or where some folks have put a "JDM" coin holder), right under it is an opening... it's actually a "handle" to pull the panel outward. The bottom of the panel is actually hinged, so it basically flips open.
edit: ya know what makes it worse? the fact that this is one of the steps in installing the blue ambient lights... and I've read that instruction since day 1 of owning my car (though I didn't buy the kit, until today).

maybe i'm just dumb... but after two years of ownership... I only recently found out, the panel under the dash pops out.

The center lower panel also pops out. That is where I mounted my switches for heated seats
